Butch
I really feel for anyone within this industry. One minute they're handed a layoff, the next their former employers are struggling for Cabin Crew and offering them their old jobs back. Watching SKY news this morning, Kay Burley interviewed a former BA Pilot who mentioned that Pilots will need a refamiliarisation , or something along the lines of getting certified / trained for their licences to be valid, of which there is already a backlog, plus getting CC back into the game is proving somewhat harder, as previously qualified CC have either found different jobs or don't want to return to the Industry at all. Training new Crew takes, on average 6 months. Looking at the price / availability of flights, it certainly seems to be the case that things are, for the short term at least, rather difficult.
