I had lens replacement surgery in the US on my left eye over 10 years ago.  4KUSD.  I then lived with mono-vision where my left eye could read and see at a distance, but my right eye could only handle distance vision.  For very long reading/computer sessions I knocked the left lens out of a pair of reading glasses so I could use both eyes.

A couple years ago vision in my right eye was deteriorating.  I had that lens replaced at Bangkok Hospital Rayong.  2.7KUSD for a more advanced lens.  I believe the surgeon works at BHP and BHR.  A lot of the specialists we see here do, but BHR charges less than BHP who quoted me over 3.3KUSD for the same procedure.

Now I have good vision in both eyes and as a plus I can never get cataracts.

That's great, I met a guy in Phuket a couple of months ago and he had both eyes done in consecutive days for £3800 pounds. Apart from wearing a pair of special glasses for a few days he had perfect vision.

That was Bangkok Phuket Hospital.

This has been something I have been thinking about for years. Although when I think about my eyes it kind of - scares the shit out of me.

I suppose a new way of looking at it (lol, get it ?) might be that I ought to figure that sooner or later I will probably need cataract surgery. My understanding is most of us usually do.

So.... when I get back to CM I'm going to look into this (lens surgery) more seriously. I will be in a much better position regarding time and such to have something like this done. Also.... if there is a two three day recovery time I can hire a hottie to guide me around the condo and show me where everything is.... lol

Not much time required for the process, don't know about initial consultation, but his was done as an outpatient each morning and he was playing pool in the evening of the second day. Very well I might add!

Yep, recovery is very quick.  They give you a pair of wrap around sun glasses for the first day after, and that's it.  Usually a follow up visit in one week, one month and one year.

Some people (I was one with my left eye) can have the membrane grow back over the lens after a couple of years.  That also happens to people after cataract surgery, so they have a quick and inexpensive laser treatment to burn the membrane away and recovery from that is within an hour.

Cheers mate ! This is great info.

I am going to see my local eye doctor in a couple of weeks. I will speak with him in more detail to get a good opinion from a trusted Doc.

Then I will do extensive research on good eye doctors for the possibility of getting this done in CM or Bangkok upon return. Doing it there along with my the purchase of my next pair of glasses most likely will save me a ton of money.

Had my eye exam today to address the focusing issue with my sight.
Doctor stated that my focusing issue may have arise due to masterbating  too often as I don’t take any medication or have other health He suggested I look into other options

I reckon if excessive wanking is contributing to the eye "issues" that problem should resolve itself within a matter of a few days now that you are back in Patts.

Might want to hold off on any corrective surgery for now.      555555555555 1
