Yessongs Posted April 6, 2022 Posted April 6, 2022 Went to the Warriors game Sunday March 20th, first time ever at Chase Center. Nice new building, at $1.4 Billion Dollars it better be. Opened in 2019 The Warriors new home. Had lunch at Rock Bottom Brewery at 2:00pm, 5:30 game time. 50 minutes to get up there to SFO. Nice waterfront location and parking at the garage across the street is $50……. not so nice LOL! Of course wanting to see the greatest "3 point shooter" in the history of the game Steph Curry, he was out after getting injured against The Celtics a few days before…..arghhhhh! They were playing The San Antonio Spurs and they always have trouble beating this team. The Warriors have some great players, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and a few real young guys like Jordan Poole, Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody that are going to have great futures with this team. I tell you, the atmosphere in this building is pumping to say the least. The starting 5 player introductions are second to none with lasers, smoke bombs, fire, loud music and they have the Warriors girls gyrating, dancing with their very nice form fitting outfits and knee high white boots! This guy that does the introductions voice is amazing. He just screams out “From Michigan State, at point guard, at 6 feet 6 inches tall in his 11th season, Dray....Mon...Green!! Great game for all 4 quarters, you really see up close what amazing athletes these guys are. Some of these guys are phenomenal at shooting from the “arc” and their ability to defend under the rim is outstanding. Draymond Green is probably one of the best defenders in all of basketball….but being from the “hood” in Michigan, he does not take any shit from anyone. He is always pushing and shoving other players. Unfortunately with his temper, it gets the best of him at times…..especially with the referees. Such was the case Sunday, he did not like a call, got a “ technical” from the referee, would not let it go and they tossed him out of the game. That hurt cause they need his defense. Klay Thompson shot the ball fairly well. Missed some key shots in the 4th qtr though that would have really put us in a good win situation. Final score, San Antonio 110, Warriors 108. Went to the San Jose Earthquakes Soccer game Sat. Nice place, built in 2015 with a seating capacity of 17,000. Last Soccer game I was at was in 1982! They were playing at Spartan Stadium, San Jose State Univ back then. They were playing the Seattle Sounders, good game. Great seats, 50 yard line,14 rows up, 72 degrees at 4:00pm game time. Seattle went up 2-0 after the first 45 minutes. Earthquakes come back with 2 goals in the final 45 minutes….one was on a “penalty kick” and after 95 minutes, it ended up 2-2 tie. Great atmosphere, open bars, plenty of food, many food trucks and of course wifey found a “Thai” food truck. What a shocker huh? I opted for the “Scotts Seafood” truck and had a very good “Fish and Chips” meal. One thing about San Jose, we have a large “Hispanic” community here, tons of Soccer fans. The good news is there were a few fine looking “Lolitas” here in attendance! Some of these gals must have jumped off a second story condo to fit into their fine, form fitting levis and shorts with heels. Good god, some of these girls booty……..should have their own zip code! Me Encantan Las Mujeras Españolas! Hee Hee! 4 3
