Soi casino, known as "the moon" by the gf, has had a load of broken up tarmac scattered on parts of it.

I suppose its now more passable by anything other than a moon exploratory vehicle, but only just

Quite passable when on a mtn bike. Kind of nice to have "the moon" close at hand for giving my mtn bike a workout. :default_biggrin:

They said a number of times a bunch of new trees would be planted on the beach....So far I see zero new trees....

Well would you at that. They must have heard your complaint. Think something got lost in the translation of "planted" though. :default_biggrin:

So they are still laying pipe along 2nd Road near Terminal 21....   How are things looking along the stretch near Soi's 13, 13/1, and near Central Festival now ?

As far as I can see on the map of proposed works, the new drain is only extending as far as soi 10 along 2nd rd. At present, it goes no further than soi diana.

The tarmac top seems to stop just by the diana arcade

Gee how nice......These plastic trees are in perfect bloom in December...lol

They are terrified to plant shade trees....People might use them for shade, relax, have lunch......That would be just awful...

Saw your photos over on PA. See they have added fake grass to go with the fake trees. Probably looks good at night lit up, but during the day it's obvious from your pics it leaves something to be desired in the aesthetic department.

Yet... blends in well with the reeking blue garbage bins that are positioned every few yards along the road at curbside.

At least they have garbage bins now. For a couple of years there were none, IIRC. And the years before that the few they had out were always overflowing with garbage as they rarely emptied them. Probably why they removed them. No bins, no need to empty them. Simple minds, simple solutions.
