Golfingboy
Just went to YT, so many different angles from people on the ground…..hate seeing this. Went right up the bigger guy’s arse, tragic…..
Golfingboy
It took a comment from YT to understand how he didn’t see the bomber. He’s banking left, so he can’t possibly see what looks to us like straight ahead. Damn, I assume it was painless for all

Very sad for all involved and their families. Today, for some, it is Remembrance Sunday. Can you just imagine how fucking brave those young men were that flew those beasts in the dark with little or no RADAR or ground support. Every fucker trying to kill them from every direction. This was in clear skies with all support available. A tragic accident that should never have happened. RIP to those that didn't survive the crash and deep commiserations to their families. 5

Pingrones
Read about this, and the issue seems to be the design flaw with the P-63 Kingcobra, due to the way the engine was placed behind the cockpit, and the new front nose gear made for a very long front, so visibility from the cockpit is severely reduced both to the sides and down... no way the pilot could see the B-17 when banking left and doing +300 Mph...
