I've just checked through old emails and I used to use BFS Passenger service. For meeting you off the plane and taking you through Business Class Fast Track through to baggage collection it was 850 Baht.

My understanding is that there were complaints from airlines and Business Class  passengers so the Government closed all the operations down.

You have prompted me to check out their website .... and it is back up and running !!!

https://www.bangkokflightservices.com/home/bfs-services/premium-airport-services/

EDIT = Further into the process there is the statement:-

"BFS Premium Airport Services provide “Premium Airport Pick Up Service” and we are unable to provide Fast Track to any passengers. Hence, Fast Track must be provided only by the airline."

Don't forget that, if you have the misfortune to be 70 or over, you are allowed to use the fast track passport control in any event.

Yep. I'm only 66 ... although stories go around of passengers younger than 70 getting directed through to Fast Track if they look old and infirm... which is no good for you lot of handsum boys!!!

My current plan for my arrival from holiday in June is to book assistance through EVA "Manage My Trip" . The only cost is the embarrassment of getting out of the wheelchair at baggage and walking normally !!!

I'm cured !!! It's a miracle !!!!!!

Don't worry, you won't be noticed. Have you noticed they all need the extra time/assistance when boarding. When it's time to deboard they don't need it because they must wait for everyone to deboard.

@Stillearly I landed on a jam packed Thai airways flight at around 15:00. Never seen a plane so full. Also Patts is rammed with people so has to be many travellers in the system.

So given that it took all of 1 mintue to clear immigration. There was more booths open than I ever had seen before with more staff on. Had a choice of 3 empty ones near me, sure if I'd have explored.

Even Heathrow that I was dreading going out was a breeze.

That's encouraging, I fly in on EVA around 1530 so hopefully will have a similar experience later on in the week.

In October it was horrendous. Fortunately the lady shouted, all over 60 to the fast lane, my travel partner being older than me went across so I hobbled along with him! :default_fun:

If you are worried about walking straight, make sure you get some whisky during the flight! 🙂

Hey hey!

Why do you think I am flying EVA?? I have never been refused a drink, even in cabbage class!!

And with 3 hours in the lounge before flying I am damned sure my legs are wobbly when I get to my destination...

I've just checked BFS for departure services. Something I have never done before.

Unsurprisingly, there is no Fast Track at Departure either ... but they charge 1,100 for lounge access, which isn't that bad for 3 hours of getting tanked up on free booze!..

I normally book through Loungebuddy but it seems to have been taken over by Amex ...

Does anyone know if you are allowed to take a walking stick onto a plane these days?

I have seen passengers with walking sticks passing through security; the stick has to go through the x ray machine but does seem to be allowed on the aeroplane.

Ruumour has it they may have been involved in expediting the passage of the Chinese lady who boasted about buying a police escort to her hotel on arrival a few days ago that caused an uproar. They may have been closed (temporarily?) as a punishment.  Some of the police involved have already been moved on to other duties.

Apart from BFS years ago, most of the others offering this service are just resellers and limousine.in.th supplied the actual service.

I flew back Business Class with Oman Air in October. Before the pandemic, the airlines used to give you a pass for the Fast Track visa route. There was some controversy that people were selling them on and the whole system was becoming corrupt. When I arrived back this time, for the first time since 2019, there were no more passes, you just have to show your Business or First Class boarding pass at the Fast Track entrance to get access.
