coxyhog Posted August 26, 2020 Share Posted August 26, 2020 I just went into our village club for the first time since March,had a nice pint of the black stuff and ascertained that the snooker room is open,albeit with 2 tables instead of the usual 3. So hopefully on Friday will have a first game of snooker for bloody ages. I happened to be outside yesterday talking with another neighbor when the chinese guy to my right went to go to the mail box. I politely said hi to the chinese guy, told him that if he could from now on pick-up after his dog it would be appreciated. I smiled and tried to keep it friendly....no reply, but mumbled something in chinese as he was walking away from us towards the mailbox. The neighbor talking with me started to move towards the chinese guy, but I pulled him back and told him to just leave it alone..... A few of the neighbors plan this weekend to go over and mow the lawn of the chinese family that has never mowed their lawn.... Some fucking people .. just have no respect ... We should be moving the weekend of 6 September in time for Kataleya to attend the start of the academic year. It will take a while to completely move in as I need to transport our possessions from London, not an easy task and it won't be done in less than 4-5 days. I have a flat in Uxbridge which I will still have access to until the 20th September. Neath is an excellent area for us, it is linked directly to Swansea, Cardiff and London by train, it has an extensive bus system that serves Swansea and Cardiff and importantly it has a direct fast dual carriageway road (A465) to Merthyr Tydfil where my mothers family are from and where I have cousins still living. Really excited, Neath is not massive but our house will have extensive views over the valley and is a short distance from schools and shops. Neath even has a castle. Well happy today. Home now with everything soaked. What didn't get wet packing up got wet being taken out the car to the garage. Now showered up with a beer. Will hope for some sun in the week to dry it all out. I was mid way in replying to @Thinkingallowed when everything went off. checked the RCB board, fine, checked all the trip switches ,all up, checked the outside wall main supply circuit, all good. Was going a bit loopy trying to work out what had happened when my neighbour knocked, we looked across the road and there were a few sheepish looking contractors making some calls...
