What are you doing right now..? (Threads Merged)

Just throwing my daughter's dress in the wash as earlier a server at The William Webb Ellis in Twickenham decided to knock her J20 over which completely covered her dress.  Poor thing was soaked and I didn't have a change of clothing for her.
Server thought a wedge of paper towels and a sorry would resolve the issue.  The girl didn't even offer to replace the drink that was knocked over so after waiting for her to rectify the issue I told her to call the manager.
Seem to take a bit of time while I was trying to keep the liquid from soaking right through her dress (I failed). I was positioned right opposite the door to the kitchens and it didn't please me to see the girl who had knocked the drink over laughing her head off while obviously telling the story to whoever was listening.
Anyhow manager comes out (a quite nice blonde lady) who again apologises and then sees my daughter's dress soaked through. I told her that I saw her colleague laughing her head off and that she hadn't even offered to replace the drink that had been knocked over.  The food was on the table, I looked at it, looked at my daughter and then looked at the manager; she then asks me if buying me some drinks would suffice, I said 'not really and too be honest I feel like upping and going'
Manager then says she will pay me cash back for all the food which i accepted. Only £15 pound for the food and drink (after all it was a Wetherspoon) but I thought OK.  Not sure if the manager thought I would then walk out but after doing my best to make my daughter as comfortable (and dry) as possible we sat down and noshed down the food, it was lovely.
Result and thankfully my daughter was dried under the air dryer in the toilets.
Result on getting it for free as compensation, what is a J20 ?

Thought it was a worldwide drink but obviously not a popular drink down under.  It is made by Britvic, see the link.... its a great drink for when you want something refreshing or for the little ones. https://www.britvic.com/our-brands/brands-a-z/j2o

Kataleya's (and Porn's) favourite flavour is Apple and Mango

It may well be popular in Aus, Ive not spent much time there though.

A quick google suggests it is available in supermarkets.

I doubt it has a licence to be sold in Thailand, might be a popular drink and that wouldn't suit the anti competitve spirit of the Thais. Think it is sold in Singapore as Britvic have an office there.

How did we jump from Aus to Thailand ?

No need to answer that.

You mentioned a drink I'd never heard of...... a reply saying it is a kids fruit juice would have been more than sufficent

I like to keep people informed when they say things like 'I have never heard of it'.

Fact is also I was assuming you were in Australia (I believe you are Australian, apologies if not) but your reply then mentioned you spend little time there and as this is a Thai forum I then believed you were asking the question as somebody who was used to what is available in Thailand.

I was trying to be helpful, keep you informed and answering you in a civil manner. I apologise if my style is too much for you to reply in the positive.

Just did my tax self assessment online, for my property empire!

Loads of expenses and creative thinking got it down a good bit :default_biggrin:

All good until next year, who knows what repairs and white goods will have had to be purchased and offset against that tax bill 😇
