Been stressed since 4.10 pm when my wife called me to say somebody had stolen her wallet in Uxbridge high street. Lost her debit card, work ID, Thai ID. Bio-metric Residence Permit and £10.

Now the debit card was cancelled straight away as Nationwide was right across the street. The Thai ID and work ID can easily be replaced and £10 is not much.

However the replacing of a lost or stolen BRP has turned into a bloody nightmare.  You can not call anybody, you go online and fill in a mass of information as if you are applying for a visa. You are told to book an appointment which in most places in London is between £60 and £100 but a core distribution centre like Croydon is free.  The appointment is in the middle of November from which it can take up to 8 weeks to get the new card. Porn/I have to supply documentation including proof of address, utility bills etc and have to allow the Home Office authority to access any records they like including bank accounts.  The new card itself will cost £72.50 and as I am using Croydon it will be a hassle of getting across to SE London from NW London.

Now of course we can use their VIP service for £870, yeh right.

So some scummy has cost my wife the hassles (and me) of having to get a new card and another corporate scummy is charging silly money to issue it..

Missed the football although that sounds like the only positive of the day.....

Oh and I broke my phone so had to go out and buy a new one, that was another £130, been a stressful day, think I saw a thread about stress earlier..
