Thanks I particularly fancy the T4 one because you walk to it directly from Arrivals without the hassle of catching the Hotel Hoppa . If I decide to fly from Ubon all the way through to LHR then I won't be in the right frame of mind if I miss the last bus !! I stayed at the T4 one last trip , the covered walkway is good , but not insulated, so depending on time of year , a jacket is required 1 1 1

The latest YT vlogs are quite positive about the experience.. Another part of the "Business Class experience" is staying in a hotel at Heathrow on arrival/departure.. I think it is @boydeste that uses Premier Inns regularly when flying. I'm considering the Premier Inn at T4 on arrival so that I get my body sorted out before onward travel to visit my sons. I'll be paying for a hotel anyways and it is a 10 minute covered walkway much the same as if I walked to Central Station!! T4 coincides nicely with Gulf Air and Qatar Air too.. Yes, I am a regular user of them. Never stayed at T4 though! 2

EDIT: Unfortunately I'm gonna mention cleaning my arse again but I notice on Videos that the shower doesn't have a flexible hose spray . Also the check-in machines put me off after a long flight! I may opt for the Holiday Inn Express instead .. There are receptions at Premier Inns, you can just use the check in machines for convenience if you have the patience. They even give you the room key but I prefer the human touch. 1 1 1

Scottie Posted January 3 Posted January 3 I used Eva quite often.Once on my premium economy I pased in my ticket and the buzzer went and gave me a return on business for no more. Very pleased. 2 3
Derek Dangleberries Posted January 4 Posted January 4 Sam Chui has done a best/worst review of BC seats .. I was pleased to see that my preference for Gulf Air was mentioned .. 2

If you want I'll send a handful of flannels to the reception with your name on it, so you can wash and wipe yourself using a handful of soapy flannels with gay abandon, then bin them!!. surely a man of your ability can contort himself if the shower head is fixed. Remember, on a clear night, while standing very still on level ground,if you strip off and bend over 90 degrees, then tilt your head a further 45 degrees and open your eyes, you'll be able to see Uranus. I always take showers. The missus usually takes baths, especially in the winter, too cold for showers lol. Role reversal, she'd have grown up with showers, me with baths, now the opposite. All that said, i'm sure you do 'get your leg over' now and again 2
Stillearly Posted January 12 Author Posted January 12 Just seen that Thai are introducing a Premium Economy on some of their routes , no idea how long before the London - Bangkok route gets it , it would be fantastic to have more competition for EVA and BA .. https://www.airwaysmag.com/new-post/thai-re-launch-premium-economy-class https://loyaltylobby.com/2024/11/15/thai-airways-introduces-new-premium-economy-on-airbus-a330-300-aircraft-from-december-1-2024/ 1 2 2

EVA's PE product is in decline, as they've done away with the priority check in desks and the PE cabins desperately need a refresh, also one of the PE seats doesn't have a window (21A or 22A possibly, can't recall). The EVA cabin area has 56 seats as well, so hopefully the THAI 777 offering will be equivalent or fewer. THAI definitely seem to be upping their game since the issues during and post Covid. BC cabins have had a refit, Economy is slightly improved although the 787 Economy leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to seat comfort, and they also seem to be slightly more competitive on prices (depending on time of booking etc). Although PE is the gateway drug into BC as I've recently found... 3 1

coxyhog Posted January 14 Posted January 14 I had an email from Qatar today & I ended up booking BC LHR-BKK 26 Mar-25 May for £3020 + around 15k Avios, which saved me £93. All the other airlines for around this time have been coming up at £4k +. 2 3 1

coxyhog Posted March 28 Posted March 28 Flew LHR-Doha-BKK BC on Qatar & arrived here in BKK yesterday. There was an article reviewing Qatar Airways in the Daily Mail recently & they said their BC was up there with the best in the world. Well the first leg certainly lived up to that,it was excellent. Unfortunately the second leg was pre-facelift & not very good. The walk required between the BC lounge(which was huge & very nice) & the two gates was very long & I ended up with blisters on both feet.Should've worn trainers. But happily ensconced in the Dynasty Grande now so all's well that ends well. 2 2
Popular Post Going2Siam Posted March 28 Popular Post Posted March 28 I started to fly Business Class 3 years a go. A new world opened up for me . There are so many benefits on top of the flight itself that makes everything easier. Yes its expensive but i prioritize travelling and I only do one long around trip a year (Thailand) . Btw I don't own a car and I live in a small apartment in my home country. The flight has to be more than 6 hrs for me to go Business Class. Warning! There's no going back when you first start. 5 3
