john luke Posted April 10, 2024 Posted April 10, 2024 https://www.electronicbeats.net/the-feed/these-pictures-capture-a-batman-themed-clubs-decaying-glory/ This club in Pattaya, Thailand has been abandoned since a fatal fire 20 years ago. Batman has always been the superhero most commonly associated with chic, noir aesthetics, but we bet even he would raise an eyebrow about having a club themed after himself. At its peak, the nightlife destination was considered one of Pattaya, Thailand’s hottest clubbing spots, boasting two dance floors and a number of “entertainment rooms” that inhabited the massive complex’s highest stories. It even beamed Batman’s insignia across the city to signal it was open. The club was only open for a year-and-a-half before a fire ripped through the building, killing many attendees. For the last twenty years the building has been entirely abandoned. American photographer Dax Ward has captured the club’s haunting grandeur in a photo series, some of which you can check out below. Butch Posted May 24, 2024 Posted May 24, 2024 I remember when the nightclub was active and had the light up in the Sky. Buzzin pattaya did a detailed and long video on it as well.
