Yeah, sounds like a lot and and as he's saying, he is paying for the convenience but they are big motors and take a lot of oil too. I didn't watch this whole video - if I watched every video you post on this site I would not have time for anything else - but the golden days of trucking are long gone, it is so over-regulated today that I'm surprised that anybody wants to do it anymore. You could once make a very decent living from it if you wanted to work hard and put the hours in but today your whole working life as a driver revolves around your mandatory time logs and if they say you are out of hours, you stop wherever you are and wait until you can go again. Also you have to deal with the weigh stations and mobile commercial enforcement, both of whom can be real pricks, as well as the regular vehicle inspections - not something I would want to do for a living nowadays. 3
Lirchenfeld
If you are still interested in testing your skills, you could head off to Steam and download the games American Truck Simulator or European Truck Simulator 2, and then test your skills as a driver. https://store.steampowered.com/app/270880/American_Truck_Simulator/ https://store.steampowered.com/app/227300/Euro_Truck_Simulator_2/

Siam Addict
My Brother used to drive a truck from Dublin to a drop of in the Uk and then through France to a drop in Germany, then return to Dublin and home for a couple of hours to change clothes and repeat. I know the worst part of it was that France closed it Motorways to non essencial trucking over the weekends so he had to get into France before the cut off time, drive to Germany and then spend Saturday night and all day Sunday parked out side a factory and wait till Monday to unload. So his day off was spent in an industrial park in Germany. Another time he called me late one evening lost in central London, this was prior to Sat. Nav. He was tired but had to get to an address to the west of London. I spent the evening calling him every 10 minutes trying to find out where he was and guide him out letting him know what road to take next. He still managed to miss two main routes and ended up on the A1 and then the M25.
