Covid - Part II

Sorry to burst all the bubbles, but....

It's mutating and surging back, big (Worldwide).

There's not much in the news yet. But I would predict within a couple weeks or so we will begin to start seeing more and more reports about it.

I hope they get a handle on it, but I'm realistic. Buckle up guys.

It has ripped through our Town a month or so ago.

Pretty sure I had it and passed it on to my Welsh mate whilst fishing together for a week or so.

He started to get the sniffles the last couple of days. Went home and progressively got worse until it put him in bed with bad flu conditions.

He tested positive.

I tested negative, but assumed I was over it.

Whether I gave it to him or not, I must of had it having spent so long together.

I got covid in the Phuket sand box just after receiving my 3rd jab. All I had was a slight cough, but tested positive.

So for me, I believe the vaccine has done its job.

I am fully jabbed up for flu and covid and will do the same this year when offered.

I recently was tested -ve covid and +ve flu. Really knocked me out with few symptoms but a cough. I will check up on combined covid/flu shots and take if available annually. I don't have any fear of hospitalisation through either of these viruses but i would be confident that a reputable vaccine would be a nett positive action.

The third vaccine to complete the trifecta is RSV. RSV, another respiratory infection, it can have severe consequences for the very young and the more mature adult (60yo+). One of those consequences is death.

A RSV vaccine (Arexvy) became available in Australia this year, it may have been available elsewhere earlier.

I would guess you can add vulnerable people to that too.

Yes , they're included

But I thought they may have made them available to everyone , seems like a couple of years since I had my last one 🤷‍♂️

I go for an update booster next week. Begin wearing a mask in crowded places or avoid all together. Easy action. Just wait it out again. And if I get isolate, treat and take care of myself.

For sure I won't be buying a flight ticket 6 months in advance anymore but waiting until a few weeks before I fly.. Not necessarily if it gets cancelled, but bugger if I'm getting on a plane with a mask on and with no wine service ...

Flew with Emirates late 21, mask yes,but was serviced with wine as usual

I guess if Covid doesn't get us global boiling will kill us all off anyway.....

Only 2 things certain in life, death & taxes....death is eventually inevitable but taxes are avoidable.

Or we will all drown because of rising sea levels....

Or die because we did not pay our carbon taxes...
