eyes4thais
I always use Skyscanners to find flights (mostly to Thailand) even internal flights. Has anyone found a better option?
Stillearly
I use Kayak to see what's available, then usually go to the airlines site to book directly For Thai domestic I only look at Bangkok Airways , I have always been happy with their flights

Yesitisdakid
My last four or five flights I've contacted Airlines directly and not use it agent or a search site 1
coxyhog
I got once got stung by an agent(Thai) in the UK so now go direct with the airlines. 2
Freee!!
I use several (Google search for them) and compare. Based on the results I check with the various airlines. Depending on the destination, I might also check the website of one agency I've found to be completely reliable (used them on and off for about thirty years). boydeste
I use Skyscanner to get an idea of availability, but always book direct with the airline. 2 1
forcebwithu
I use Google Flights as I like their date grid and price graph features. I had a look just now at Skyscanner and unless I missed it, I didn't see those features on that site. After finding the flight I want to book I then book directly with the airline. 3

If you already know your dates for flying because of work/schools/specific celebration, or you have a preferred Airline for whatever reason, then fill yer boots. For me I might want to identify the cheapest days for flying in MAY and JUNE for example, so I use search engines that can provide me the best dates, prices and airlines within those two months ..Also I like to view YT Vlogs on my choices to spot potential disasters .... It helps if you have a lot of time on your hands of course !!! 2

richy65
I usually look at Kayak then book directly with the airline. I’ve never risked using an agent 1
Painter
Like seemingly the majority here, I check on skyscanner, or travelsupermarket, or whatever, then go to the airlines website and book there. Yes, it might be slightly more expensive, but it's much easier to change if you need to 2
Yessongs
Booking.Com for me as a general rule to have a look..booked directly with JAL for a flight back home in June, then booked directly with Thai for an upcoming trip to Tokyo in a few weeks. Most of the time, i found booking directly although a bit more expensive, they by far, had the best times as far as options. 2
KWA
Momondo. Grid view as mentioned above.
Lirchenfeld
I used to use momondo.com but for the last few years I have just used the airline companies own websites.
Glasseye
Flightaware Not sure why I think many in here are confusing flight booking sites with actual flight data info. *** Always best to do the final booking directly with the airlines site. ChiFlyer
I use Orbitz to get an idea of prices etc. for my desired dates, but then drill the individual airline sites.

I also live in the Pattaya area. 20 years ago I loved Samui. We went about 4 years back and I will never go again. Samui, IMO, has become over developed. My domestic flights tend to be to such places as Khon Kaen, Krabi, Phuket etc. And increasingly I choose to drive to those locales.

For domestic flights they still are the only option, and Thai Smile ceased all operations a while back (January 2024 IIRC). I've been lucky recently in that both Emirates and Qatar frequent flier miles can be used on Bangkok Airways so helped keep the costs down and saved the miles from expiring. 1

redwood13
Bangkok Airways owns and operates three airports: Not for certain but I recall at one time they had a monopoly on use of the Samui Airport until the government (?) intervened. Samui Airport (25 April 1989 – present)[31] Sukhothai Airport (12 April 1996 – present) Trat Airport (8 April 2003 – present)
