Bus service Buriram to Pattaya.

In the past I have used the bus from Pattaya to Buriram.  Last time I used it, I took a mini bus 400b I think.

I'm thinking about it for telac, she drives down slowly taking about 8hrs, and then the car in Pattaya is a "pain in the arse". plus fuel and excess mls. (car warranty 20k per yr, and she has done 14k in 8 month)

Nokhonchaiair still does minibus, but does anyone know of a company that does big bus VIP?  If I have a Vip bus with a recliner, I may be tempted myself, as many times she drives down to pick me up.

I have looked online but many old posts are now obsolete, plus now you have to go Via BKK.

I would like direct

Why not fly , a quick google says flights are about £38 from DMK ...

Yes i have booked flight on 25th To Buriram, because when I land, I just have to transfer to DMK. As you say £19 for me and £19 for my case. 555   ....... That did piss me off!

Plus 1500b to airport 2hrs drive, 2hrs at airport waiting and 1hr flight. Might as well sit on bus another 2hrs max.

I asked Telac, she said there was a VIP bus as well, again no evidence online.

I have taken the VIP bus from Buriram to Bkk. Very nice relaxing ride, around 6 hours from memory. You would obviously need to get the bus from there to Pattaya.

Not alot of time saving really from her driving, but it wasn't expensive either!

Yes it's the buriram to Rayong they do stop in Pattaya it's a regular stop of theirs on the way. They have a website but it's absolutely terrible I've tried to navigate it without success I live close to their station here in Pattaya so I just go up and buy my tickets there

OK try and book it!

Ah unless my VPN is stopping me.  Pehaps you could try and book and see if your checks out.

I think you should take the advice from Larry, he has used the service from Pattaya several times.

Yep, and driving gives more independence for an old fucker like me but I guess she is young and healthy so doesn't have my problems.

We are looking at getting a VIP Minibus down next time but hiring the whole bus so we control routes and number of stops to let my arse walnut relieve the pressure..!

I could always bring the plastic balls to use outside the 7/11s on the journey!!

We reckon hiring a minibus just for the two of us would be cheaper than staying in a hotel for a rest from driving half way along but doing it that way we lose mobility to travel around the Pattaya area.

Regarding the car. We only use it for 15 minute journeys here so I think a 10 hour journey gives it a damned good work out twice a year ...

Is that the Bus staion on S V RD, opposite of Pattaya Klang?

Yes, slightly south of the junction.

For the last few years all buses have used the bus station on the dark side of Sukhumvit Road, although there's been a station on the city side as well.  I noticed on Google street view, with images from June this year, a bus parked in the city side depot so wonder if they're using that too nowadays?
