I am assuming some may have you on ignore. I haven't ignored anybody but presume, if you are on ignore, you may not be able to message those people.  

I do have quite a few idiots on ignore on a Philippine forum.

I have never had cause to put anybody on "Ignore" on this forum although I did so for a couple of lunatics on Secrets.

I seem to be destroying brain cells quicker than I can replace them these days as I cannot recall their board names but one for some reason was something like "Sailor man" and the other apparently lived in the jungle in Bali with gross misogynistic views that pissed me off.

Personally, I got banned from Pattaya Live (?) by another lunatic for defending a couple of maligned bar girls and also on Secrets by he who must be obeyed.

Messaging is working fine, but members can block messages if they wish for whatever reason. Sometimes it's,a good idea to clear old messages in your inbox as there is a limit.

There are some members here that haven't a message facility for what ever reason. 

I flagged one recently to Tom, but don't think he has been on since and I can't even remember who it was now. Lol.

Just checked your account and you are correct, there does not seem to be a message facility. No idea why.

Not something I can fix as a Mod but I am sure Admin can. I will flag it up for action.

Possibly a few. I would suggest that if any member who cannot access messaging, to report it to Admin or post it here. Should be easy enough to rectify

Re-reading some old pm s from the covid cluster fcuk. What a shithouse of a time that was with all the tests, paperwork, quarantine, sheer madness and costs etc.

I reckon it cost me at least 150k baht on top of my normal travel expenses to and from Thailand.

It has certainly changed working practices for many people.

My oldest daughter now works from home using a laptop, two monitors and a printer provided by her employer where prior to covid she commuted to a central office. It suits her and MANY others but equally I am sure many might well miss the direct association with work colleagues. 

Unfortunately, the downsides of the covid period such as you describe have far outweighed any positives. For me, spending almost 18 months in a large Thai town with just about only one other person speaking English was nearly a relationship kiss of death. Nearly, but not fatally.

There was a few from our meet up in Udon. 

Also a few with Lanzalad from the early days of the forum. RIP.

That’s the reason I went back working after 9 months off. Needed the time to be with my sister at the hospice and to grieve for her as I had lost my best friend.

I don’t need to work for the money, but I need the social interaction with other people. And I am really happy at my workplace as everyone is really nice, and also my mate from a previous workplace works there.
