KWA Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 Seems the UK government are going digital with visas and replacing physical documents, ILR stamps, biometric permits etc with an online equivalent. For more info have a look here as I guess may of you will probably get involved in the process. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/online-immigration-status-evisa 3
Horizondave Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 Yes, all BRP (Biometric Residence Permits) run out on 31 December 2024, even if you have a visa to stay beyond that time. Wife has an eVisa. Need to make sure that the eVisa is updated with any change in passports details etc. Major issue would be coming into the UK and not having an eVisa set up, could cause a problem. A lot of organisations have been trying to delay this digital roll out as they believe many will not be ready for the switch and there may be problems at border control or with proving the right to work etc. 1
