Hi Guys,

Does anyone know a good Hua Hin Taxi firm?

I've  only used a taxi once from suv to hua hin, when he had to slam on the brakes at 2am to save us slamming into an hgv doing a u turn on petchakesem Rd I swore never again, either bus now which is more comfortable or train,if that late again then 1 night bkk.

Sorry that's a no.

If you are talking BKK to HH I always take a big blue bus.

But when in HH, Grab and Bolt, tuks tuks everywherre. Snap your fingers and they are there.

With one exception.... When coming out of the airport. They have a mafia there. You are stuck with ridiculous rates.

I drag my bag down to a nearby 7/11 and order a Grab from there.

These are the best and safest firm I've used. After several horror rides on that route with drivers looking at their one all the time.

Got this as a recommendation from another BM and he was spot. Used them about 6 times, excellent everytime. None of the drivers have been on their phone

I'd be shitting myself in a taxi on that route.

I always take the airport bus, comfortable seats, comfortable ride. Drivers get tested for alcohol before setting off. I usually take seat 7 which is 3 rows back just in case.

In Hua Hin, I have used Grab, cheap and efficient when in town.

The links for taxis, though, are now on my phone.

You can catch the green baht bus right outside the airport,it does the u turn and heads back into town,10bht ,night market, village market are main stops, but he will stop anywhere.

I was joking about this but good info. to know. I will look for it next time. Probably when I come down there for two months March-April (escaping the smoke up in CM).

It would be cool if you happen to be in HH at all during that period of time.  :default_cheers:

Ah thought so as we know there's no taxi mafia in hua hin ,but just thought I'd throw that snippet of info out anyhow.

Absolutely if I'm there around March 🍻.

Sometimes I take a direct flight from CM to HH.

The fares they charge going out of the airport are ridiculous, and Grab was not responding. Maybe it was just a tech hang up on my part.

That is what I mean when I say "taxi mafia"

I have discovered over the years of using Grab that there are locations where you can send out for a ride and no one will respond.

In Pattaya once (when I first began using Grab) I had a driver who would keep asking me to go somewhere else for a pick up (WTF ?) I was in the front of Big C.

Finally I walked to the back parking area and met up with the dirver. I gave him a bit of a hard time as I had my hands full with groceries and shit. Poor fellow began to cry as he stated he had just started driving.

He was from a small rural village and had come to Patts to earn some baht. But the long timer taxi drivers were threatening to beat the shit out of him. I felt really bad for the dude.

That was when I started to figure things out with catching a Grab in some areas.

I never have a problem with that kind of thing up here in CM. But there are locations where you can run into those issues.
