A sad day for British radio as Johnnie Walker does his last show,he was one of the Greats.

Surprisingly the BBC are replacing him with Whispering Bob Harris,another Great.

Cheers mate. I went with the cheap stuff, Red. But it was good enough for me. Then I switched to Dewars. 

Haven't had a good glass of Scotch for years. Lovely stuff. Although, nothing like a nice cup of Macallan.

It’s good that it hasn’t affected you in any way in later life.

JW Black used to be the weapon of choice for many a mamasan back in the day. I recall going out with Jod from Happy / Dollhouse / Lipstick / The Sea a few times and being presented with a bill for the best part of half a bottle. Damn she could drink.

I'm more of a bourbon man than Whiskey.

Also, getting back to the OP, I remember listening to him on BBCGLR and later Radio 1.
