Popular Post Jambo
When I departed on my enforced sabbatical, the main "crop" on the family farm in Mae Sot was the production by Sai's Dad of his fighting chickens. Some three years later Sai and her sister have transformed the Farm into a garden nursery. It takes a lot of watering but fortunately they were able to use an underground water extraction/purification system that never dries up during the dry season. Satang and I keep out of the way 🤣 And let the workers get on! The least we can do. ☺️ Edited November 6 by Jambo 6 2

Zambo
There are 2 BM (in fact many more but not putting it out there) happily residing in Thai farming communities. I do see the attractions. But is there an age when you get infirm and need to come back to hi-tech life?

Do you mean being put in an old people's home in UK ? I am unsure what you mean. M'Lady nursed her ex-husband through cancer treatment until he passed away. He chose not to die alone in a "hi-tech life" in Manchester.... where his daughter was a nurse..

I didn't mean an old people's home in the UK, I doubt I will return there. I also didn't mean an expensive private hospital such as Bumrengrad. I was thinking more of a mid-level option where i can nip down and get my mobility scooter recharged while they're prising every last bit of my lifeblood out of me to reach my 100 year target (and charging a reasonable VAT inclusive fee)

Everything I want in life is obtainable in the village nowadays. It is a totally different world from the 90s when I first lived in an Isaan village but perhaps @Jambo sees it differently.. It is his thread so I shall let him continue .. 3 1
