Yesitisdakid Posted February 10 Posted February 10 I'm 100% sure there's more to this story they let him leave after smacking him around. Generally they would smack him around hang on to him and he wouldn't go anywhere until they got the money out of him in Thailand they rarely are going to let you go if you legitimately owe them money in a case like this. That's why I'm pretty sure there's more to this if they let him go without trying to collect the money 4 2
forqalso Posted February 10 Posted February 10 I think I pissed off a bargirl yesterday on Pothole. After buying the first drinks, I asked the short time price in the bar. We were mostly using google translate and she typed 1500 and pointed at herself then 5000 and pointed towards the bar. Then, instead of typing, I asked, “do you mean 500?” I guess she thought the 500 was a counter offer to her 1500 because it deteriorated quickly from there. But, I paid the checkbin and left on my own. Most bar disputes are misunderstandings, either caused by lack of sobriety, the language barrier or the volume in the bar. 5

I'm afraid we Brits have a substantial scum element amongst us, and a lot of them have learned how to travel to Pattaya. Talking generally, the Indians/South Asians are guilty of social misbehaving, rather than crimes, and that makes them more noticeable to us. 1 3

As Baz points out that's noticable, and they are usually in a group. There's some absolute scum bag Brits in Pattaya but how often have you seen a fight? Not excusing it but given the number of tourists and the volume of booze they drink, it's remarkable there are so few fights. A UK city centre late on a Friday/Saturday night is far more threatening than Pattaya is, let alone the relatively peaceful towns in the rest of Thailand. 3 1 5

As an American, if I can’t understand a Brit I’ll ask, “is that a German accent?” After they answer, “it’s a bloody English accent. Right right innit.” I’ll say, “you’re welcome.”

sakik2024 Posted March 27 Posted March 27 He later said in an interview that his wife asked him to take her to a restaurant where they make the food right in front of you. He took her to Subway, and that's how the fight started! German Tourists are Not Welcome in Thailand.mp4 1
