I stayed at The Hive Hotel at Lamai for a week in December 2023 and it was excellent. Superb breakfast buffet and located right on the beach.

I stayed in the Hive for a week also, in September 2023, it is indeed a great option. Great buffet breakfast, good happy hour on beers and a great menu.

The pool area is brilliant, can just step to the beach which is a bonus as it is a lovely beach. The staff were lovely, great location.

Just a short walk back to the main road and all the main entertainment areas. Loads of restaurants and shops nearby.

The rooms at the Hive are a good size with many amenities and large balconies. Even had a firestick for the TV, which allowed access to Sky movies and sport etc.

I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

August is a busy month for Samui , it's like a second high season , mostly driven by European visitors

Lamai is a fantastic place to stay though , decent beach and lots of great restaurants

I usually stay at the Weekender, brilliant pool area  , but the rooms are getting a bit tired and the prices keep going up .. will be looking at other hotels in future

Last time in Samui NYE 2017, we stayed at Anantara....nice resort, Chaweng side though...which alot seem not to enjoy...i personally like it there.

The next door neighbor stayed at the Hive hotel with his wife and 2 teenage girls last month he told me...they liked it.

Have fun...

We’ve used the Anantara between Cha Am and Hua Hin for overspill visitors many, many times when family came to visit. They all sang its praise and really enjoyed staying there. Pity it wasn’t a bit closer to Hua Hin, but that’s life. 😜
