Looking forward to your on the ground report on whether it's a more subdued water festival compared to Pattaya's. Looking at photos of the event in Siem Reap I think it might be a close call.

Getting photos I don't think will happen I don't have a waterproof phone or camera. I may be able to get some shots but I doubt very many I'll report back as to how crazy was

I booked a trip to Cambodia to avoid Songkran. Leaving the 13th returning the 20th. I figured this was all good until I looked to see that Cambodia has their songkran from the 13th to the 15th . I will be on a bus until 9:00 at night on the 13th so I may avoid that day but I'm in Siem Reap all of the 14th and until 11:00 at night on the 15th when I get on a sleeper bus to Kampot. I always criticize people for not doing their homework my dumbass didn't do his homework but I'll still have five nights in Kampot hopefully Water free. I looked at some YouTube videos and they get crazy in Siem Reap for those three days. Live and learn I guess.ย

School boy error for sure mate.

Do they still start throwing water in Pattaya around the 10th?

The madness started on the 9th last year on Soi 7. Pics below were taken the morning of the 10th.

Bloody hell that's early ... I always thought nothing started until the 12th .. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

another reason to avoid Soi 7 and 8ย

nb you can hardly blame the tourists when it's the bar owners putting the water out there ..ย

Every 4/8-4/10, I would stay in Bang Sare. Girls would come on the songthaew, getting soaked along Sukhumvit but dry by the time they arrived. They were happy to escape Songkran.ย

I think I would rather take a bullet in the head than be in the middle of that.ย  ย ^^^

I was just telling someone recently that in the past 25 years or so I have been visiting/living here i have yet to be hit by one drop of Songkhran water.

I always told you you were as dumb as a Mexican mules piece of shit but would you listen, ???ย

Hey but because i love ya don't worry Cambodia is not the same for Songkran been there .... much more gentle and not the same farangas with giant water pistols etc. You'll love it just tell them Stevie Wonder jokes they won't have a clue what you're on about but will smile anyway. Cambodia is fantastic ....... like Thailand 20 years ago in the best ways.

Nice photos of the exception of the San Francisco Giants hat๐Ÿ˜‚

I grew up in the General Admission (left field) section of Candlestick. ๐Ÿ™‚

San Francisco Giants Croix De Candlestick Pin Veni Vidi Vixi The Croix de Candlestick pin washanded out to only the best and most diehard of Giants fans. After an extra inning game at Candlestick, any fan who braved the elements and stayed for the whole game was given the coveted pin. Candlestick Parkโ€™s conditions past 10 o clock and the 9th inning at night were harsh and unforgiving. To own a Croix de Candlestick pin is a badge of honor that tells the world, โ€œI love my Giants.โ€

My brother was a season ticket holder for years he lived in Sacramento came down for every game even if they went Extra Innings he didn't leave the ballpark. I was never a fan but boy he loved them. Love the pin of recognition
