Who are you backing this year ?

@Lemondropkid will be impressed with my selections .... 🤣

two greys to start , because my Mum always liked and backed grey horses ... Coko Beach and Kandoo Kid

Hitman ... because it's the same name as my new watch and its colours are red as well , also part owned by SAF ...it has to be a sign ... 🙏

Beauport  ... it's a place in Jersey and he's also wearing the same colours as Corbiere did in 1983

All solid reasons 555

Well firstly I'm amazed your watch collection is only throwing up one selection 🤓

Based on my performance on the horses since moving to Thailand I'll be mirroring your sophisticated methods.

For an interesting outsider going for Three Card Brag 25s.

Minella Cocooner looks very solid, should run well at 12s. Finally at same price Intense Raffles, the ground is a big unknown for him though 🤷‍♂️

@Stillearly we've narrowed it down to 27 possible winners then!!

Is it a safer course for the horses these days?

Im not a horse racing fan but the Grand National always peeks interest in the workplace.

Nothing worse for me to see a beautiful horse get injured, euthanasied, killed, in the name of so called sport.

Humans participate in risky and dangerous sports, sadly animals haven't a choice and no voice.

Hope the race passes by without any incidents.

Much safer they have cut the race down to just the 34 runners!!! And the distance by 2 furlongs.

The biggest change in my mind has been repositing the starts. It's now much closer to the first fence.

This prevents the Calvary charge that horses are able to get to top speed running at the first obstacle. It was this that caused many fallers and the odd fatality in previous years

The stats for fallers at the first 3 fences used to be eye popping.

Individual fenced have been made easier too.

I was getting to the point where even as an avid fan, I wouldn't have carried on watching and supporting the race in its old format.

It's much improved but they need to go further for me and cut the participants down from 34 to 24.

I had Beauport because it was close to Bluport. Lol
