Hey, can someone tell me exactly what is 2 years and 12 months in prison here in Thailand? I was not very good in Algebra back in the day, but isn’t that 3 years? Oh that’s right, this is Thailand? LOL!

Loso was sentenced for 2 years, 12 months, and 20 days in prison.

Each of these 3 periods is for one conviction:

-illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition

-drug use, and

-resisting arrest by police officers.

So, this is not the case of "TIT", but "TIF": This is Farang (who simply don't understand the smarter Thai).

"Don't do the crime if you can't do the time"

. . .

The phrase "you do the crime, you do the time" is a common idiom. It's often attributed to the theme song of the TV show Baretta, which contained the line "Don't do the crime if you can't do the time".

While the phrase itself predates the show, the show's theme song popularized it. Additionally, the phrase has been used in the context of a documentary about street gangs and youth in the South Bronx, with Carlos "Charlie" Suarez, President of the Ghetto Brothers, giving the title "You Do the Crime, You Do the Time" to a series of tapes.
