I moved to Sanur yesterday and am staying here.

The beach is average at low tide and almost non existent at high tide.

Those prices look pretty decent 89k Rp, for a pint of Guiness I make 180 baht. Guessing that's brewed in Malaysia at that price?

A couple from the morning walk. Those pylons in the distance mark a reef line which keeps the water fairly calm.

Nice pics..wifey and I leave for Bali on July 24th for 5 days....she booked the trip and took care of all the details...not sure where all we are staying etc.

As mentioned yesterday that reef off the beach keeps the water fairly calm. Yet there are still places renting surfboards. I think I found the answer today.

Yesterday I moved a few kilometers further north but still in Sanur. Big mistake. I went for my morning walk today and at 7am it was chaotic on the beach path. Walkers, joggers, runners, dawdlers, children, dogs and cyclists all over the place. There is a 24 hour gym about 100 meters away. I think I will use that tomorrow.

Across the road from my hotel is the Icon Ball mall. You get a good view of the water from it. The reef is a lot closer to shore here.

Also they have a Bubba Gumps which I will try tomorrow or Sunday if I am still here.

Decided to lash out and eat stuff Bubba Gumps for dinner.

As expected it was expensive by my standard.

The bill for one Mango Mojito, a bowl of Clam chowder and a Crab and shrimp roll with the 15% ++ was 574000rph. About 1150 baht.

The Clam chowder was okay. Not as good as the one in Savannah but an experience that had to be done.
