Stillearly Posted June 23, 2025 Posted June 23, 2025 British Airways has suspended flights from London Heathrow to Dubai and Doha, following an escalation in the Middle East after the US launched airstrikes on Iranian nuclear sites. All flights scheduled to depart Heathrow for Dubai or Doha (including return flights) have been cancelled until at least the end of tomorrow. British Airways has commented: “As a result of recent events, we have adjusted our flight schedule to ensure the safety of our customers and crew, which is always our top priority.” “We are contacting our customers to advise them of their options while we work through this developing situation.” On Saturday night, flight BA109 from Heathrow to Dubai was diverted to Zurichafter changing course in Saudi Arabia. The flight landed 9 hours after takeoff. Flight Booked? If you’re due to fly this month, keep an eye on updates! BA normally operates two daily services to Doha and three to Dubai, so this will have a huge impact. There are currently 1,000 BA passengers waiting to be flown back from Dubai. BA has introduced a flexible booking policythat allows you to change your travel dates. At the moment, this is available for flights up until and including 6th July 2025. Affected travellers have reported being rebooked onto Qatar Airways without issue, and sometimes Etihad if it’s a same-day cancellation. As you can imagine, BA’s phone lines are very busy at the moment. 3 1
Horizondave Posted June 23, 2025 Posted June 23, 2025 Could be intelligence advising a British Airline to cancel flights. Qatar and Dubai are extremely close to Iran. They are obviously assessing the situation.
Krapow Posted June 23, 2025 Posted June 23, 2025 Finnair have cancelled flights to Doha until further notice as well. 1
Horizondave Posted June 23, 2025 Posted June 23, 2025 Iran firing missiles at the US base in Qatar is the reason for all these cancellations.... it has started and the middle east is seeing the fallout. What will trump do next? 1

Oil went down 7.5% per barrel today, whilst Iran fired missiles into Qatar. Iran gave notice prior to launch. The attack was a face-saving gesture. 1
