If someone doesn't have the 800000 to put up should they really even be here? I'm guessing that many people do have it but they refuse to put it up because they make little or nothing on it sitting in a Thai bank account.

Not ready to retire yet,but I've kinda been looking into it for maybe a couple of years time,presumably they'd change the goalposts by then tit.

I wouldn't be to keen on leaving 22k in a Thai bank either,not that you'd make much interest on that in a UK bank but mainly could I trust them.

Regarding agents I've never understood if your supposed to leave that cash in the bank 3 months before you apply how can visa agents do the process for you,obviously there not waving the cash in bank,probably transferring 60k thb monthly might be a better option.

There's no way in a million years i'm putting 800K in a Thai bank account to satisfy Thai Immigration's visa requirements when i can transfer a minimum of 65K each month, imo its a no brainer as i would'nt trust Thailand as far as i could throw  them and i want TOTAL CONTROL of MY MONEY, they can just FO.
