Popular Post Aqualung Posted August 26, 2025 Popular Post Posted August 26, 2025 Just a few random pics from our 5 night visit to Tuscany, Italy. We've been friends with a lovely Italian family from Naples for more than 10 years so jumped at the chance to meet up with them in Castengneto Carducci which is a hours south of Pisa via the train. So, Copenhagen to Pisa was just over 2 hours with SAS airlines and then a shuttle train to Pisa Central train station. Very helpful staff ensured we didn't f**k up finding our destination of Donaratico. So then we needed to get to Castengneto Carducci but no taxi services and we didn't fancy the 50 minute walk with a suitcase and bags in 34 degree heat. Surprise surprise, Roberto, a member of the family we came to meet popped up at the train station to pick us up. 5 days there and really didn't want to return home. Lovely weather if a bit to hot for me, great food, great scenery, great friendly locals and most of all the wonderful hospitality of our Italian friends and family. Makes life worth living. 6 6

Me and a friend did the lot. Verona, Venice, Florence, Sienna, Pisa, Rome ( what a city that is, or was. Tons of African scammers there now) Pompeii, Sorrento, Capri and Assisi. Probably the best holiday as a youngster I ever had. I would highly recommend Italy to anyone. As for Spain, I've only ever been to their Baleriac islands and to Barcelona. Both great but the local folks of Barcelona aren't to keen on tourists right now. Something to do with Airbnb or the likes and the locals missing out on buying homes. I've hear Seville is the place to visit at the moment. Maybe try Prague, another wonderful city and easily walkable. Special place for me and the wife. Whatever you do, don't visit Sweden. It's a fuckin bore fest 🙄🙄 1
