onward flight required for tourist visa??

Hi all

Im going to cambo in October .I dont really know how long i want ton be there so as per now i havnt booked an onward flight. However I wondered if an onward flight was required to gain entry as a tourist ?

I have no idea if Immigration require an onward ticket but some airlines do. I was initially refused a boarding pass on Air Cambodia for not having an onward flight but when I showed them my e-visa it was given. A friend flying Air Asia was refused a boarding pass until he booked a return flight.
