Pupyalexa Posted September 27, 2025 Posted September 27, 2025 I researched the best PetSafe Wireless Fence for dog because I need a reliable solution to keep my dog safe in the yard. I read reviews on Chewy, Amazon, and a few pet forums, and many people are saying it works well, but I’m still not sure if it’s the right choice for me. Here are the two options I’ve been looking at: SpotOn GPS Wireless Dog Fence Collar https://www.amazon.com/SpotOn-Wireless-Waterproof-Accurate-Reliable/dp/B0D1KZ9P93?th=1 SATELLAI GPS Dog Collar https://www.amazon.com/SATELLAI-Membership-Advanced-Wireless-Waterproof/dp/B0FJS2T2X1?th=1 My main concern is whether it will work properly for my dog. He’s very active, sometimes stubborn, and loves to chase after squirrels. I also wonder if it’s safe and comfortable for the dog in the long run. So, does the PetSafe Wireless Fence really work as effectively as advertised? Any real experiences, tips, or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
forcebwithu Posted September 28, 2025 Posted September 28, 2025 Below is what I have for the three soi dogs we've taken in. The training collar is very effective and makes it easy to train a dog to respond to your commands. Since the remote has three channels you can use one remote to train up to three dogs, or two dogs and a kid as pictured. The three modes of training are; sound (a double beep), a two second vibration, or the oh shit mode, the dog isn't responding, time to shock him/her. You can also preset the intensity of the vibration and shock modes. Rarely do I have to resort to the shock mode. I only use it if the dog is in danger of an attack by another dog and isn't responding to my command "come". 90% of the time the beep mode is all that's required to get the dog's attention and to respond to a command. Since the house I rent here has a security wall, that's my pet containment system. When I lived in the States, my 3/4 acre lot had no wall so I used a buried antenna wire system for pet containment. That too was very effective and my two dogs there were easily trained not to approach the property boundary. My son uses the same type of system around his house as well. Personally I'm not sure I would trust a GPS or other wireless type pet containment system. I would be concerned that if there was some kind of interference in the GPS or wireless signal, it could end up activating the shock mode in the training collar when the dog is nowhere near the boundary. A buried wire system doesn't have that risk. It's also easy and quick enough to install and a lot cheaper than the wireless systems. https://www.lazada.co.th/products/i3001518440-s11010917778.html 2
