A little advice, please. I am considering changing my six year old Huawai phone, probably for a Samsung.

Presently T-247 shows as a frequently visited site. I just click on it and I auto log in, it knows it's me.

I assume with a new device, even using the same SIM, this may not be the case? Is it the SIM it is recognizing so I will have no problem, or my device?

Before I do this, where do I find my existing password when I log in now, just in case auto sign-in doesn't work on the new device. It's been years and I havnt needed to use it.

Thanks for any advice

You could look in Google password manager and see if it is saved there.

Thanks so much, worked fine, recorded them all just in case.

Do u know the answer to my 2nd question, please? Does the T-247 log in, and other websites I guess, see that I have my regular Sim and let me in? Or will it see a new device and lock me out. Thanks

Presumably your old phone is registered to a Google mail (gmail) account?

If so, and from memory when I changed mine a few months ago, if you register the new phone with the same Gmail account it'll set the new phone up the same as the old one, same apps, passwords, etc. You might need to "log on" to the apps again, but keep the old phone next to the new one, and connected to the Internet, and you'll be prompted to confirm its you on the old phone, and it'll do it for you.

At least.... I think that's how it worked.

If not, you'll need a teenager to do it for you....!!

I don't know the answer to your question, but as long as you have access to your original email address that you logged on with, then you should be able to do a password reset.

If you don't know what that email is, a mod or admin should be able to tell you.

edit - I just checked and if you click on your profile, then account settings, it will show you your email address.
