Well, in an hour or so here in Thailand, The World Series in Baseball starts at 7am local time here. 

So....I have lived in 2 places in my life, Pomona, Calif and San Jose, Calif....born in Corona, Calif. My Dad took me as a 12 year old one time to Dodger Stadium to see The Dodgers play and the rest is history. Probably in 1967 if memory serves me correctly, I saw both Don Drysdale and Sandy Koufax pitch a "doubleheader" that day and I have for ever been a Dodgers fan. Maury Wills, Jim Lefebvre, Wes Parker, Wille Davis, Claude Osteen, John Roseboro, Ron Fairly and the list goes on. That is not a bad thing, until my Dad got a killer job here in Sunnyvale, Calif at Lockheed and moved us all to San Jose, Calif. in 1969 and being a Dodgers fan I was tormented LOL!

But not to be deterred, I stuck with my team and did not waver....try going to Candlestick Park back in the day and not get the shit beat out of you for rooting for the Dodgers! 

Had some great years watching all of The Dodgers teams over many years, and this years team is pretty good.

The Toronto Blue Jays will find out soon enough LOL! 

The Dodgers are "peaking" at the right time of year right now.....Blake Snell, Yamamoto, Tyler Glasnow AND Shoei Ohtani are serving up some incredible pitching performances in October..and trust me, good pitching will always stop good hitting. 

Dodgers in 6 games.....you heard it here first 😇

My racing paper yesterday went 4-1 or 4-2 Dodgers. As a neutral it would be good to see the Blue Jays competitive, but the  Dodgers are looking a class apart.

I watched my first World Series last year, and it was all Freddie Freeman. Not so much this time but they've so many players who seem to step up.

The game between the Blue Jays and the Dodgers is on TV here in Sweden so I might as well give it watch. 

Question 1 : what's the distance between the Pitcher and the Batter? 

Q2: the distance between bases? 

Just watched the Blue Jays pitcher deliver appx 40 pitches. His arm must be aching for sure. 

Not many batters seem to be able to hit the fucking ball!

Looks like the Dodgers are in for a proper beating. 

I don't know if I'm watching this live or the highlights but 10 commercial breaks on TV in just over a hour of viewing is a no no for me. 

Maybe it's just Swedish TV coverage. 

Unwatchable for me. 

Just watched the highlights on YT, brilliant first game. Dodgers will bounce back tomorrow won't they, Yamamoto v Gaussman?

Steve, the mound to the plate is 60 feet, 6 inches, the base paths are 90 feet. 40 pitches is nothing for these guys....some of them can throw up to a 100 per game.

Fair play to Toronto, they punched the Dodgers in the mouth yesterday for sure...all good though, we give Yamamoto the ball today and let's see what happens. It was obvious to me yesterday watching Blake Snell pitch, he did not have good command of his pitches. First one to 4...not 1. 

Yamamoto throws 105 pitches, throws a complete 9 inning game, this is why you pay a guy like him $325 Million Dollars over 12 years.....just outstanding yesterday.

Just watching again. Baseball is a fascinating game and I'm not sure I would enjoy facing one of Galsnows pitches. 6 ft 8in of a lump. 

Just wish I knew the rules and the abbreviations regarding statistics. 

Spitting seems important though 🤣

JFC…I understand aggressive baseball with two outs, but the runner was out by 25 feet! They wanted to challenge for blocking the plate 😂😂😂 , I understand the rule has changed from when I was younger , in the runner’s favour , but come on!  Runner wasn’t even in the frame and catcher had the ball already. With Vladdy on deck too, would have been walked, bases loaded probably

Absolute stupidity to send the runner especially with Vlad on deck the second bad call by the third base coach I wonder where he'll be coaching third Base next year

Yeah like I said gotta be aggressive with two outs, but when a slower runner is barely rounding 3rd when the cutoff has caught the ball…yikes! 
 
Still can’t believe they even mentioned the challenge for blocking . Remember Scioscia, Larry ? He used to kill my Expos sometimes with his blocks , very unfair, but at the time he got away with it…rules were different 

Kind of like roughing the passer in NFL…if you got called for that 30 years ago, meant the QB was probably headed to intensive care. Today ? 😂😂😂😂

f**k me.....by far in my opinion, the greatest World Series game i personally have seen! 

Between Ohtani and Yamamoto, they have invested over $1 Biilion US Dollars....think it has been worth it for The Dodgers? I think so.....after Ohtani's first 4 at bats with 2 home runs and 2 doubles...the Jays walked him 5 times intentionally.....unbelievable. 

Freddie Freeman is clutch, big time clutch.....well done. 

I cannot wait to see Ohtani pitch tomorrow! 

Life is good...........................if you like The Dodgers..

Oh by the way, wifey weighed in on the overall game...she said to me "That Shoei Japanese guy..... is kind of good looking"

I only came to love baseball through watching it live as an 20 year old spending 5 months in the US.

It's a way, way better game live than on the TV

I've tried watching on TV twice... 

Impossible to watch as TV adverts are on every 5 or 6 minutes. Does my head in.

My TV has given up the ghost so till it's replaced been watching YT highlights. 20- 30 minutes, not too many adverts by comparision.

Normally I watch on TNT I can'r remember the ads being that frequent.
