Thanks for your help. I just ordered it.

Please let me know how you feel about it I'm very close to going and picking one up just for shits and giggles. It looks like a great social media everyday phone for somebody who's not a heavy gamer

The reviews I've read are okay the downside were not for heavy gamers and the camera in low light

It also has "a single bottom-firing speaker" which could prove embarrassing if you're having afternoon tea with the vicar ...

This is a very good YouTube review of the three models they make in looking at the video of the three models it seems the cheapest model has the biggest battery the newest Android operating system as well. And as well it has the largest screen of any of the three models despite being the least expensive

It seems it doesn't support 5G.

Yes 4G I have yet to purchase a 5G phone haven't seen the need the 4G phones I've been using up to this point have been perfect for me I guess there's some benefit if it's because they're faster I don't know how much faster I need my 4G phone to be to be honest

I've just (literally 30 minutes before Larry posted this) a samsung a17, but the 4g version. Thought about the 5g, but (a) my sim is only a 3g sim, (I know a trip to a dtac shop would get me an upadated 5g sim) and a 3g sim wouldn't work on a 5g phone, (b) it was 2000b cheaper, (c) my uk phone is 5g but only works on 4g and is plenty fast enough for what I need.

You can't go wrong with Samsung it's pretty obvious but the value for the specifications on that phone that I posted are pretty amazing worth the risk I would think for $90 US. I've yet to own a 5G phone I can't see the benefit of it. At some point probably not in my lifetime 4G will be phased out and 5G will only be available of course it'll be second tier to what will probably become 6G we evolve

Okay so I got this new phone set up took about an hour and then another hour to get all the apps and everything I needed where I wanted them. There was no blip in the system everything went very smoothly. The phone is very quick and I have 93 apps on it.

It does not have an IR blaster which I'll miss because I like using it for remotes when I travel for the TV and the air conditioners makes life a little easier. It does have a separate AI camera that I found interesting to play with you can take photos and it has the Magic Eraser that can take things out of the photos kind of interesting to play with. I think it's becoming common on a lot of phones but I'm not sure if this price point.

The fingerprint sensor is brilliant much better than the one I've had on my xiaomi phones it's very responsive. The phone handles two SIM cards as well as a SD card my xiaomi phones will hold one SD card and one sim card or two SIM cards and no SD so this is a plus as well.

Well set up and played with it a while I just can't see any faults with it I'll use it as my regular number one phone for a month and see how I feel about it after that. I'm happy with the camera quality I put some photos up the one photo of the roof line and the next photo is zoomed two times

Not sure you're going to find a phone anywhere near this one for $85

No idea couldn't tell you. I don't think I've ever dicked with any of the settings on My mobile's when I've taken photos I'm not a photographer I wouldn't know anything about aperture and the likes all I do is turn it on and snap away and up to this point including now I've been happy with the results.

I wasn't referring to any fancy settings mate. Just whether it's on the maximum Megga pixel setting

Many camera's default to a smaller Mp so that the file size is kept low.

Those pictures will be much sharper, especially on zoom if there is a higher setting.

Think that phone is capable of 50Mp.

Edit, just did a bit of googling and it looks like the default setting on that model is 50Mp.

Yeah I had a look the default is 50 megapixel. The photos are a lot better than I was expecting I still can't get over the fact they produce this phone for $85. It has the same or better specifications than my xiaomi that I love but I paid 6000 baht for or about 200 US. I'm not getting real excited about it just yet I'll see what happens in 30 days but the early use of it has been really really good we shall see
