Popular Post Yessongs Posted December 1, 2025 Popular Post Posted December 1, 2025 Took wifey to “Central World” Mall this past Friday evening. Took the Skytrain down there, 35 minute ride and the station drops you right off in front of the Mall…..one of the biggest malls in all of Bangkok. There is only one “Cheesecake Factory” in all of Thailand and it is here. I cannot resist the Meat Loaf, Mashed Potatoes with Gravy and Corn. Wifey had the Spicy Rigatoni. I dusted my entire plate. Wifey had to tell me “Mike, it is not Thai culture to lick the plate after you finished, we are not in America” LOL! Of course, we shared a piece of Strawberry Cheesecake after dinner, then a stop at the bar for “Kahlua and Coffee” to settle the stomach after and all is well. Black Friday sales were everywhere and of course we had to buy something! Clothes for her and a new pair of running shoes for me. All good… The Xmas decorations are all out now and a 45 minute walk around felt good. The Erawan Hotel was nicely decorated, got to stay here one time. For those who have never been to Thailand, this is the time of year to come here…Nov-Jan and the overall heat and humidity are way down. 73 degrees ( 22c) when we arrived and 32% humidity…..absolutely pristine weather now. Happy Holidays….all the best. 6 1 2 3
Golfingboy Posted December 1, 2025 Posted December 1, 2025 At the grocery stores here, cheesecake has roughly doubled, I imagine a slice at a cafe is same. Even at the Makro type places without memberships , even though I’d never buy one, you’d see a frozen cake that could probably feed a dozen guests, 5 lb +, for $30 CAD…Now $60. Was a 600g one, different flavours, was always $6-7, now $14, and never on sale ! Plus I heard Costco in Canada, their only distributor burned down, and the replacement is pricier and shite quality Never been a huge dessert guy, I know myself, I go nuts when I start…..anyway at these prices, they’re forcing us to consume less sugar Nice pics BTW as always 1

Shame really because it would have put her in good stead for future expansions .. Ah well I just give her advice and encouragement ... the rest is up to her .. 1 hour ago, Yessongs said: Wifey had the Spicy Rigatoni. And they both look delicious mate !! 1

Even playing Blackjack in Lake Tahoe, last time there at the Hard Rock hotel, the minimum tables were $15 per hand, they are $25 per hand now. The Strawberry Cheesecake that we had was 350 baht this past Friday......but it tasted good LOL! 22 hours ago, Derek Dangleberries said: My daughter had a successful job interview there on Friday but decided not to take it .... Great traffic there being inside Central World etc....you are right, as a Dad, you just lead them and let them learn on their own. 2 2
