Yesitisdakid Posted May 16 Posted May 16 I've been putting it off because if you don't have a transaction over 50K or need to transfer your app to another phone there's no reason needed really to have photo recognition. But I see that changing at some point where everybody will need it so I bit the bullet and went into the bank at Big c Klang. I got there 12:45 yesterday and the place was packed but I was patient or told myself I would be because I had no other place to be no real hurry. But I must say they've got their shit together regarding customer service. When I went in the lady asked me what I needed handed me a ticket I took a seat. On the ticket there was a QR code and it said if you scan it with your smartphone it'll tell you where you're at in the queue because they had different letter number combinations so it wasn't as cut and dry as the next number up. So I scanned the QR code to find out there were 12 people ahead of me. This is brilliant because I went into the grocery section did some shopping during which I checked the app again . At that point it told me there were six people ahead of me went downstairs grabbed a smoothie real quick from the food court 20 minutes later I checked there were two people ahead of me made my way back up to the bank got there just 5 minutes before they called my number. I found this to be brilliant didn't have to sit there just watching the paint dry you could go out take care of things and know that you could get back before your turn. Good going k bank. 6

Didn't know that- I've a K Bank accoung, thanks for posting🙂 I was lucky that I went to a small local branch near me when I went through the process. Very quiet in there, from what I read on here some of the bank queues in Patts can be horrendous. 1 1
forcebwithu Posted May 16 Posted May 16 I received the SMS below from K-Bank yesterday. Not very clear on what is meant. One interpretation is I'll lose website access, but so far I can still logon and initiate transfers. I'm not bothered if I'm limited to 50k as I currently have the limit set to 20k for my own protection. "From May 2026, K BIZ website login and transaction approval will require K BIZ App. Visit any KBank branch with your passport, passbook, and this SMS to verify identity and register face scan, then download via App Store/Play Store and activate K BIZ App."
Toy Boy Posted May 16 Posted May 16 I had an operation back in March in Bangkok and needed to be able to pay the 350K Baht bill. I went into my SCB branch and they set up the facial recognition thing for me so I could transfer the lot using my phone. As I'd never used it in anger before, though, I felt unsure that it would work and, if it didn't, it would probably cause a major delay in me being discharged from the hospital. So in the end I simply took 350K in cash with me, paid that up-front before the operation, and then the small balance afterwards (about 6K, mainly for the GF's food, lol) via the app. 2

What is strange are the limits at Bangkok Bank they're all over the board. I got a friend who has rent of 12K out of the blue last month he went to the transfer the money in Bangkok Bank said his limit was 10k. Well he found out to be a pain in the ass as many would then board member and friend Doug and I checked our limits on Bangkok Bank through the app cuz I had never bothered to look Doug's limit was 100,000 and mine and I have absolutely no idea why because I would never request it was 750,000. On the app it doesn't give you the opportunity to lower it I looked everywhere so I've got to get into a Bangkok Bank soon and bring that way way down I don't understand how they decide who gets what but anyway all over the board is Bangkok Bank on limits 2

As you posted, I could find no option to decrease the limit using the app. My transfer and payment/top up limit is 10,000B. Tried increasing the transfer limit to 20k, but got the message I need to go to a branch of ID verification. I'm fine with those limits, although it would be nice if they let me decrease the total daily limit. Not a big deal though as I always keep less than 100k in that account. 2
Lemondropkid Posted May 16 Posted May 16 Last month I paid my annual medical insurance bill, it was over 50k THB my payment limit. No problem as now I'm registered for facial recognition, I could raise my limit, scanning my face as security in the k bank app. Worked perfectly. 4 1

I think your limit is only raised for 1 month so worth checking next month to see what it is. 2 1
