Butch Posted May 22 Posted May 22 (edited) I was staying at the Page 10 2 years ago when the place caught fire. What struck me at the time was the total lack of organisation, no fire alarms triggered, the fire hoses in the basement area where it was didn't work and it was only after the fire took proper hold that they evacuated the hotel, but it was by word of mouth rather than any other means, I still managed to go back up to my room and get my bag and money, passport and took the stairs back down. I learned a valuable lesson then, that to take nothing for granted when it comes to fire regs and protocols anywhere in SEA again, so instead each hotel I visit I make sure I know where the stairs are in relation to my room, and also an alternative exit if possible. This time it's a big fire at the JA Plus, located near 3rd road. https://www.nationthailand.com/news/general/40066503 Looks very bad and props to Pattaya Fire Dept for making it less awful than it could have been.
