  1. I am sure knee pain or stiffness has been covered before, but i think no harm to raise again.

I have got as much improvement as i think i can by exercise, but still have stiffness after exercise in one of my knees. Quite bad stiffness the following day.

    Anybody found tablets that work?

    I see possible supplements are:

Glucosamine (tried this before but didn't notice much change.        Type II Collagen
    Boswellia Serrata
    MSM
    Turmeric
    Piperine

Any of you guys who live here, find yourself eating less because of the brutal heat?

I have lost 3 pounds in the last month....even though yes, being in an air-conditioned home, you still have to go out and about. Just seems like my appetite is just not as strong right now.

I normally weigh about 205 lbs, just checked, I am at 202 lbs.

Yesterday at the gym, someone said to me "you look a bit thinner"?

My weight has little to do with my day-to-day diet, all related to beer (i don't drink wine or stronger stuff). But apart from the beer calories there are unwise food choices while drinking beer - fish & chips and pies being the main ones but also nuts and cheese if drinking on the balcony at home).

If i cut out beer for 4 - 6 weeks my weight will go down.

I once stayed at that big hotel on Jomtien B.R. (just around the entry bend, forgot the name of it) during Christmas/New Years holiday. My usual placed was booked up.

Seemed like a nice place. Spacious, clean, etc. Even had a fcuking bowling alley.

After booking and being checked in I was relaxing in the room delighted with my find. I then did a little research on the place.....

I learned that when they were building it there was a fire. 96 people were killed in the fire. Fcuk me, even I got spooked.

I think I spent about ten days in the place. Doors slamming constantly, kids screaming, etc. It was noisy as fcuk ! Place was crammed full of Ruskies and Chinese. Dog awful experience. I was never so glad to get out of a place.

    But, never saw a ghost.

Never saw a ghost, but brave to stay there....

Laksi Plaza in bangkok not far from Don Muang. Devastating fire and deaths the business never came back. Haunted

Any reason for the minus the egg? Or most likely just that the plate is already full. Looks great

I was just down at the supermarket and I parked in the warm basement carpark then took the lift (elevator) up to the shopping floor...

The doors of the lift opened on their own

A wave of cold air passed over me when the doors opened.

I had an immense feeling of dread when I looked at the total bill.

Would that be classed as a ghostly experience?

Strangely enough most paranormal activity has similar signs to ventilation and electrical functions - how can we be sure which it is? Added to that the shock of a supermarket bill and i expect you did feel the blood drain from your very heart.

I for one would stick to BigC with a ground floor carpark - better to be safe than sorry.

I have seen ghosts before mate. The most memorable being in The Mai Ping Hotel in CM !!

I nearly had a ghost experience a few years ago.

I was staying longterm in a hotel down Pradiphat Rd and went over to the Elizabeth hotel compound for a haircut. The girl asked where i lived and when i told her she said a guy had been murdered there by a bargirl a few days ago, his gold stolen and the girl had escaped.

When i got back to my hotel i asked at reception and they confirmed that there had been a murder and it was on my floor a couple of doors down the corridor.

In fact she said "the whole floor has been closed down except your room because everyone's scared of the ghost"

I explained that although i had no fear of the poor c**t stalking the floor looking for his gold and revenge i would be pleased to move for their convenience. Huge sigh of relief from all and i was shifted within an hour to safer territory one floor down.

On drunken nights i did on occasion return to my old floor by mistake, the lights were out and the doors creaked through unuse. I was left unharmed, a fellow creature of the night.

Yeh , that sort of cold! Totally unexpected after months of extreme heat!

I've just been watering the shrubs and started thinking that if I was 12 years old again back home living Dorset I'd do a packed lunch and set off to Sandbanks on my bike to watch the foreign girls going topless .....

    Is this solved?

    Common signs of ghosts:

    1. Feeling a wave of cold air come over you
    2. Seeing unexplained movement out of the corner of your eye
    Strange sounds
    3. Lights flickering and electronics turning on and off on their own
    4. Difficulty sleeping and strange dreams
    5. Doors opening on their own
    6. Waves of dread

Last job I had was taken out of desperation as I'd been out of work for over a year.  Worked nights, 21:00-07:00 seven days and then 7 days off.  As mentioned at the very least the first day off is just a recovery day and as I was in my sixties it frequently took more that one day to recover.  I remember my daughter saying how much better I looked after I quit.  Did that for 7 years until I hit 65 and social security pension kicked in.  Then I moved to Thailand.

That was in a hospital lab in a rural setting and maybe the most gratifying job I'd had as I got a lot more patient contact than I'd ever had in other similar jobs.  But yes, after 7 years I was definitely all done.

Well done seeing it through. I'm sure the effort seems well worth it now.

  9. Spurs are involved in several Premier League settling matches over the next few weeks. Arsenal just won but whether Man City, and to a lesser effect Liverpool, can beat Spurs can decide the result.

It never ceases to amaze me the amount of Chinese made products that are absolute crap just not fit for purpose. I'm sitting here in me office chair slowly sinking until i can barely see the Com screen lol and i have to continuously keep lifting it back up.

If it's only you using it you don't need the adjustment. Can you set it to the height you wany and then fix it in place? Maybe a big jubilee clip or other clamp to stop the cylinder sliding down.

I agree that reducing the inflammation is key, but my lower spine (and as of 2 years ago my upper spine) is basically shot as all lower 5 discs are gone, and it’s extremely difficult to do any exercises that I was originally given to do.
The Muscular Skeletal Clinic I’ve been going too over the years have basically given up on me ever doing the exercises they would normally recommend and I can’t get the inflammation down as I can’t take anti inflammatory drugs.
Luckily the Morphine and Paracetamol reduce the pain to manageable levels and I do some VERY gentle exercises at home whenever possible, but walking more than 20 mts at a time is virtually impossible and it requires me to stop for a few minutes to rest the spine and hips.

Any kind of compression support you can get for your back? I know it's a lot less complex but i wish i'd bought my knee support years ago.

    You spelled spelt wrong also....

    555555555555 !

I was puzzling over that for a while.

    From the internet

Frequently asked questions about spelt or spelled
In British English, both “spelt” and “spelled” are used, but “spelt” is a bit more common. So “spelled wrong” and “spelt wrong” are both accepted. In American English, “spelled” is standard, so the correct version is “spelled wrong.”
