How is the kick to the shoulder on something like that ?
Its minimal. All the boom goes out the back. Before you fire its down to your number 2 to ensure that there is no one standing behind you in the BBDA (Back Blast Danger Area)

I remember the gpmg when I was doing my military service we had the gpmg the slr and the m16
In Australia in the 80's we mainly used the SLR, M16 and M60. Never had the British GPMG. Also the old old old F1 sub machine gun.
Biggest thing i ever fired was the Charlie Gutsache 84mm. That was fun!!!

Well I tried the "contact us" link and explained that the original email that I used to join is no longer available due to my retirement. Bryan sent me a new password but I'm still going round in circles when I try to get in.
Have sent you a message.

Incredible thread. I'm in absolute awe of your collection. Im a fan of the era but was only born in 1968 so didnt manage to experience it first hand. Having said that i'm a massive Deadhead have about 90 titles on vinyly and CD plus about 100 shows on cassette tape. Got to see them on the 4th of July 1989 in RFK, amazing experience.
Only Mouse i have is an autographed litho of The Family Album. Sorry about the poor quality photo. Cant be bothered taking it off the wall.
