Looks like a nightmare ! ive never understood assholes who splash folks who are not taking part,id only splash other folks if they were involved and game too, cant believe how busy it is.

In this case it is Khaosan Road, so not surprised, pretty much anyone is fair game. Was dead quiet in January, but yes - busy indeed! I had to beg for a beer in January...

  2. "Sometimes you want to go
    Where everybody knows your name
And they're always glad you came
You want to be where you can see
Our troubles are all the same

You want to be where everybody knows your name"

    I like to define a good bar, based on a few criteria;
    1) Do I like the atmosphere?
    2) Do they serve proper beer? (I am really not that picky, although I am one of the few who thinks Belgian beers are shite)
    3) Is it fun, even if I go there by myself?
    4) Do I want to return as a customer?

Bonus if they have a proper pool table (I like to play pool, even if I suck at it). Pool, pinball machines, Fußball table and darts belong in a pub - not so much shuffleboard, that is for cruise liners and people with white hair.

Value / price is not that important (except when I write my reviews on Tripadvisor).

Won't be rushing to visit under those requirements any time soon.

Will be a cold day in Hell before I go back to the Philippines, it is the only country that managed to fine me because I left BEFORE my visa expired, just because I forgot to keep track of my Emigration Clearance Certificate... f^kin morons. "Your visa expires tomorrow, you have to pay 1500 pesos if you leave now.". Filipino logic is far worse than Thai logic...

  4. 1) Rouges Sports Bar, corner of P Burgos and Makati Avenue, cheap San Miguel, nice girls, always some side hustling going on...

    2) Three Owls, Gibraltar (upstairs at "The Nest"), but believe the owner passed away a few years ago... the only proper pool table in Gib...

    3) Hotel bar at Tyre Resthouse, our usual R&R hangout spot in Lebanon.

  5. I believe my list, would be something like:

#1: Classical chess (technical ability, accuracy, patience)
#2: Snooker (hand-eye coordination, technical ability and accuracy)
#3: Decathlon (flexibility, agility, strength and speed)
#4: Golf (hand-eye coordination, technical ability and accuracy)
    #5: Masturbation (
    hand-eye coordination and patience)

  6. Granted, certain sports, such as bowling should not be on the list, as pretty much any swinging dick can bowl 300 after a couple of years practice, but "softball" (the name is a dead giveaway!) and soccer (ahem, football!) does not require a whole lot of skill to be good at a top level (the numbers of overpaid footballers is proof enough).

And "cheerleading" - that is NOT a sport!

  7. Read on a Facebook group that the Sukhumvit Soi 7 complex was raided again on Saturday (must have happened right after I left for Thermae, as I were on both Soi 7 and Soi 7/1 on Saturday...), which would be like the third time since January, and that it was unclear whether or not it would reopen again... anyone heard about this and can confirm?

When you travel make sure home banks know what country you will be using your card. If they lock you out you might not be able to get back in (because often the phone number you are using then doesn't match for the verification check and the computer bots don't like all the red flags they are getting). A real pain in the ass when it is 4 am back home and you can only get through on the phone to some idiot in India.

The computer bots are very sensitive when doing ANY overseas transactions, transfers or purchases. They will lock you out in a heartbeat and then refuse to unlock you or send a new card. It can be a real nightmare. If you are able to get it fixed it can sometimes take days or even weeks, while you sit there with your dick in your hand.

Yupp, the retards at HSBC UK just figured that since I received money from a Norwegian bank account and tried to transfer the amount back to the exact same account whilst in Thailand, that was an obvious fraud case, so they just blocked the account. Spent over two months trying to open the account again, spoken to countless people in India who do not give a rats ass about helping you... still not solved.
