Anyone here suffer from rheumatic pain in their hands?.

I've started to get a dull ache more and more regularly after work these days, it's not too bad in the morning, but they get stiff and sore later on in the day if I'm busy.

It only came on at the start of this year really, but I'd be interested if anyone has a tried and trusted method that they use.

I can put up with the discomfort, rather than take NSAIDS at least for now.

Sometimes it is changing your diet, foods high in Acid like Citric fruit are bad for joints.

For me that's not a problem, when in BKK I go to Vasu (which has better rates than the SupeRich Nana). Additionally, Damini is open 24 hours 7 days.

I seem to recall that their rates would change late at night when the other exchanges closed and it wasn't a better rate you would get.

But saying that it was still a better rate than other late night opening exchanges!

  3. Tried Google Maps and Google Earth and I get the same picture.

I have also tried Google Earth Pro and the plane on the runway and plane approaching T4 have also disappeared.

I have found a date and it is April 2020, But if a plane is not been prepared for takeoff it would be moved onto the apron away from the terminals. But there are NO planes whatsoever at Heathrow not even at the area to the East of the Airport where they service the aircraft.

But do the flight times and stopovers compare as well ? I just had a quick look for my dates and saw the Etihad at £1717 , but it's a 9 hour wait for the second flight and total travel time of 23 hours ...

EVA only has one flight from Heathrow a day so that has dropped, but I double checked the Etihad flight and it was different, the flight I am booked on has gone up by £200.

    Happy days!😀

  5. Booked my flights for December about 6 weeks ago, Eva were over £4k business class so I went Etihad with one stop for £2,100.

Just looked at Kayak and Eva is down to £3,100 and Etihad are down to £1,717🥹

I took a gamble and lost! Prices were going up daily.

I was always told the sweet spot to book tickets was about three months prior to your flight.

I have been giving a lot of thought to the medication I am currently taking to lessen the extreme pain I am currently experiencing in my hip/knee. I have my doubts they reduce the pain at all but I take them just in case if I stopped the pain will somehow gets worse.

    Here is the conundrum.

After my hip replacement apart from the short term pain associated with the operation itself the source of my extreme pain should be no more. I have, however, been taking 2 tablets of co-codomol three times a day and morphine sulphate before I go to sleep.

I know one cannot just stop taking co-codomol so about a week ago I decided to reduce the dosage to 2 tablets, twice a day. I have not noticed any appreciable increase in the pain but I have with me in other ways. Generally I feel a bit under the weather and periods of what appears to be anxiety. Its as though I am checking myself expecting to find ........ .......... I don't know what I am expecting to find?

I have my per-admission meeting at the hospital next Thursday. Maybe I should have waited until then and discussed reducing the medication.

I was never 100% happy about taking opioid pain medication.

I recall after my knee ops I was taking Co-codomal and it made me constapated, so I took a herbal tablet called Senna which greatly helped.

I now take 2 paracetols and 2 ibuprofens whenever the pain gets bad or if I know I will be going for a 3-5 mile walk I will take them before I go out. I will on average only take these once or at max twice a day.

On your weight loss well done! But be careful that you continue to manage your weight when you have reached your target, the difficult part is after your operation when you are not as active.

I went from 120kg down to an ideal 80kg over a two year stretch but it bounced back to 100kg after a few years. Since then it has leveled out about 90kg and I am struggling to get it down below that!

  7. I recall a few years ago taking a girl from a bar on Soi 7 or 8 down to a couple of bars on Walking street, my  first choice was Angelwich where we watched a couple of shows and from there she wanted to go to I think Airport where there was wall to wall of naked Ladies, she turned to me and said that she preferred the bar (Angelwich) that I had picked.

My response was I preferred her choice of bar!

I hope it doesn't go the way that Drinking Street went..

When it first opened, each bar had its own character defined by the music it played. There were 2 that I particularly enjoyed. One was what us English would call "Country and Western" music and the other was  70's and 80s music.... And of course loads of others liked them too... leaving the other bars pretty much empty ..

So to make things "equal" they provided a centralized music system that really f***d things up so that nobody went.. they then tried to "rescue" the area by playing music for the Indian crowd...

Here's hoping for the best ..not for investors but for customers ..(You'd think this would go hand in hand but hey, TIT, as Trink would say)

I remember the bars that were behind Retox? on Soi Buahkou, there is a Tesco's there now had one sound system for all the bars. I don't know who picked the music but it was terrible.

But on the other side I was in Tree Town last year and I was listening to a band across  the street that were quite good when all of a sudden a band in the bar next to where I was sitting started playing. I was stuck in the middle and it just became an unbearable noise.

I was trying to service a tap (some may prefer faucet). But i couldn't get it apart, now the plan is changing the tap - not cheap for a kitchen mixer tap.

    Get a plumbers socket

Rothenberger 80000 Monoblock Tap Spanner Set

If it's rusted in you can remove both parts (nut and bolt) together.

you can get a replacement tap from about £40
