A few will go to the wall. Some will survive. Some will have new owners with stars in their eyes of owning a place on Walking St and the result will be like in the past... turnovers will just keep on.

As for the high speed rail in 6 years...maybe... a big maybe.

As for the high-so Bangkokians keeping Soi 15 and the area alive...  really.... you will get a small number to have a look if you are lucky.

As saying that the best looking girls work Walking Street... debatable...very debatable point.... and has been so for a few years now.

But good luck to them... they are going to need it.

    cheers

The best looking girls are working in walking street is very obvious, not debatable at all. Compared to LK-metro, soi 6 and all the beer bars WS wins hands down, but it is more expensive

Only because he has cash to throw around to pay for hookers......he fools himself into believing the girls love him and he’s still got it, he demonstrates that with his trapping off about how awesome he is lol

He pays the same as the young lads, so I don't see your point here. He might have an advantage over the younger lads for speaking Thai, why didn't you point that out instead?

Where’s gogo lover when you need him? Always liked a good boast up about how he as a pensioner could match up to the young lads! 🤣

He even does better than many young lads

I have been in Pattaya a long time. I know a lot of gogo bar owners and bar owners.
Not one has been contacted about this or has any interest in it.
Baku group, whilst I wish them well, haven’t been in operation that long and they’re talking about opening a huge project like this.
I talked to the guy who I get the licence off at Banglamung. Not some bloke down the pub, the actual bloke who issues the licences to Pattaya bars and gogos.
    He’d never heard of it.
Come back to this thread in a year and see how it’s going.

So what. If your guy at Banglamoung haven't heard of it, probably the order hasn't been propagated down yet, too soon in the process. Doesn't change my perspective

Dont shoot the Messenger but this is Stickmans take on it from todays Column.

"New Pattaya bar area not realistic.

With regards to the proposed new Indian-run bar area on Pattaya’s Second Road in what is now The Avenue, as has been mentioned before, expansion of the industry is only going to dilute the product. It would need a wholesale shift from one area to the other. Even if this project proceeds as planned, it’ll take at least a couple of years to eventuate. I was there last month and The Avenue was still operating as a shopping mall. They’d have to wait for all the existing leases to expire (some big businesses there that won’t be stuffed around e.g. McDonald’s, Starbucks, Villa), then knock it down, and build the new venue. It’d be a person of rare foresight and trust who’d be willing to commit now to having a bar there."

Doesn't stickman do his homework before writing he's articles? He's article is incorrect and therefore not credible

More details now becoming available via postings on Pattaya Ladyboy forum....the poster "Batchelor A Go Go" on Pattaya Addicts is the guy Scott who opened Sensations ladyboy bar in Action Street six or seven years ago and allowed Sky TV to document his progress in that project. He teamed up with an Indian guy who posts as Sean Archer on the forums and  SA recently took over the running of Batchelor in LK, using the name Smitty. I think Scott from Sensations is the manager there now. Others may be involved too, but these guys are the foundation players.

Scott and Smitty acquired an almost fully kitted out venue in The Avenue known as the Roof as its then Russian owner failed to follow through to opening due to unpublished circumstances and so they landed a big salubrious venue for minimal investment, and the first Avenue project was hatched. With so much empty space around, it seems like questions were asked and answered and some very ambitious plans then started to germinate.

If you want to get more details of whats planned, log in to Pattaya Ladyboy forum....you are all probably members there already!

Latest : 17 of the 39 first phase Go Go bars already signed up or signing up...been "allocated" was the phrase used!

Specialist Bangkok builders on the way down  and things to happen from April.

    Good stuff, keep on updating..

only been a few times in the past years but nana is a ghost town full of ladyboy bars and now it has a roof over it it smells of piss.  seriously reeks.

i can only imagione the fuin for the other shop keepers, washing the piss out of their doorways and picking up the bottles.   it wont happen

Um, not a ghost town, actually it's always very busy. Did you go there before 6 pm or on a national Holliday?

  8. That would be awesome, but only if it would be quality gogo bars like in Nana Plaza and Walking Street and not like the poor quality gogo bars we see in LK-metro. I do think there would be a customer base for it if the bars were to be populated with top-notch gogo girls like in Pin Up and Palace or Billboard in Nana Plaza, those places are filled up ever night and you can barely find an empty spot to sit

The Avenue was a failure from the beginning, and the owner's never got their investment returned, surely converting it to gogo bars would change all of that, and why wouldn't they get the licences for it, wrong zone? but not far from LK and a long way from the beach, it seems like the perfect zone for it. Why keep a ghost-mall instead of converting it into something that makes money for the city?
