Thanks for all the messages and i've kind of gotten my head around things a bit more today and done a little research on this new treatment.
Here's what I've found out so far for the new treatment:-
The Christie's Proton Beam Therapy unit is to start treating patients
A pioneering Proton Beam Therapy Unit at The Christie will treat its first cancer patient this month.
The new cancer therapy unit is the first of its kind in the UK and has been under construction since the summer of 2014.
It delivers a specialist form of radiotherapy which was formerly only been available to patients abroad.
Now complete, the unit's first patient is preparing to undergo proton beam treatment this month.
Proton beam therapy is a type of radiotherapy that targets certain cancers very precisely, increasing success rates and reducing side-effects.
It targets tumours with less damage to surrounding healthy tissue and is particularly appropriate for certain cancers in children who are at risk of lasting damage to organs that are still growing.
The machine itself, known as a 'cyclotron', is the size of a small car and weighs the same as jumbo jet.
It is expected to treat around 750 patients a year, starting with its first this December.
Roger Spencer, chief executive of The Christie, said: “To be just days away from offering high energy proton beam therapy to patients in the UK for the very first time is really exciting.
"Patients will benefit hugely from having the service available in Manchester bringing treatment closer for them and their families who currently have to travel abroad, and resulting in less upheaval during what is undoubtedly an extremely stressful time in their lives."
NHS England chiefs said other patients have been identified and are currently in the 'complex planning phase' with clinicians at The Christie, to determine the best date for their first treatment.
Accommodation will be available for patients and carers coming from outside the immediate vicinity of the new centre.
Eventually Proton Beam Therapy will be available in London in summer 2020.
Cally Palmer, national cancer director for NHS England added: "There have been huge advances in precision cancer treatment which hundreds of thousands of patients across the UK are now benefiting from.
“The first NHS patient undergoing high energy proton beam therapy in England marks a major milestone for the NHS and, as the NHS develops a long term plan for the future, it also marks the end of the first phase of the plans to radically transform cancer treatment across the country.”

Here's the latest update from this morning.
Well I knew all along things haven't been that good with been admitted into hospital twice over the last few months.
I just had a feeling as things unfold over the last few months with my lower organs shutting down and the pain on my spine and internal organs.
Well today was the day of my meeting to find out what's going on, I knew the PET CT Scans was done within a few months of each other and so it would show any growth and yes after all the chemo and radiation the cancer in my adrenal gland still managed to grow 1cm and of which caused the pain to all the trauma to the lower organs.
I was told that I would need on going treatment again as the cancer is now in my lymph nodes and bone in my shoulder and so my treatment plan success rate is lower than 20% my cancer specialist putting my name forward to Christies in Manchester for some kind of new kind of treatment and it means i'll be hospitalised for the whole duration which could be up to 6 to 9 weeks.
I asked about the new kind of treatment and how about the success rate and she didn't say but she said we are ver limited here and I think it will offer you a better chance than 20%
This has really come home to me now and i'm now planning to get everything in order..
I'm ok with it and kind of guessed it

The Hungry Hippo restaurant is for sale due to the owner’s ongoing health problems. This restaurant is set up to continue to pull in customers all year round.

I like how they use "Pattaya's Number 1 Farang restaurant is for sale!" I wouldn't say so and i guess many would think the same..
If it was "Pattaya's Number 1 Farang restaurant" why sell it.

I'm looking for one now and over the new year Asda was selling them off for £240 and I should have got one.
I guess I'll still get a good deal on line here in the UK using the likes of price runner.

Kinda trying to understand this as its seams to be popular but i've heard that some boarder crossings towns on the Mexico side are no go zones, I guess it's like any where in the world.

Don't ever give up ... keep fighting even if you feel that you have no fight left ... f******ing fight ~! ( those are my asterisks - LOL )
I remember when I was in the "joint" ... I wanted to lay down and die on some days - just give up ... but, every morning I said to myself ... fight .... and fought I did ... there is always light in the dark tunnel ...
Yes mate
I just keep going and looking forward and don't look back, words from my cancer specialist which she said when ever things get on top think about you have a family and you need to fight for what you have and keep going looking forward and not behind you, which helps so much ..
Sunday i was ready to turn of the lights and call it a day, i was all over the place no control of my body with cancer in my spine, liver and other lower organs, shacking convulsions, high blood pressure.. I really could go on and on mate with the list..
But here I am again back home now and with some new meds and everything seams to be ok for now again.

Been thinking the same but each virus thread has its own relevance to a degree.
Now if its all moved into a club members will need to join the club to view the threads and this may create more threads on the main forum.
