That's a kick in the nuts. I have been very lucky this year, but some guys at work are looking at big increases, especially on the German stuff, even run of the mill Audi A4's and BMW320's etc.
They're scalping us basically. They know It's a legal requirement and they take the bloody piss.
I did read that the Uk gov are choosing not to intervene ( if they could??) or put pressure on insurers as the standard 12% tax they receive from all premiums is just going up and up in a monetary sense. Robbin gits.

Never regretted selling a car, but I wish I had my Suzuki RG500, a nice one goes for £20k now.
Remember doing work experience in a hotel when I was 14/15 just basic washing up / food prep for a week. I got on well with all the kitchen staff and they offered me part time work after.
The second Chef was rare in that he didn’t drink but his passion was fast bikes and he had one of those / I went on the back once and only once. It went like a rocket and I’ll never forget that.

Saw a corker today - a girl say approx 30 years old with lips that wouldn’t look out of place on a gibbon. Looked horrendous

Loved him as a kid in the Man from Uncle, and Sapphire & Steel.
Ditto. Had a calm and gentle character to him.

Well done!
Keep it up as if I can stick to a diet everybody can.
My original goal was to get below 90kgs by the 13 October being six months on the diet. To date I have lost 22 of the 26 kgs to achieve that so 4kgs to go. I have decided to amend that by making it 5 kgs still to go when I will revert to a more healthy low carb diet reintroducing appropriate fruit and veg.
When I achieve that ( I am back after the short break on the carnivore/fasting plan) I will weigh in at 13st 12lb in old money. That will be just 5lb above my ideal football playing weight of 13st 7lb which never altered for 10 years or more.
I am absolutely certain that the key to me successfully losing weight is that I totally only eat food that I enjoy. I don't have to count carbs because 95% of what I eat has none! The only supplement I take is electrolytes dissolved in my water cooler.
I am probably boring members by my repetitive posts on this subject but it helps me focus on the overall goal. I am determined I am not going to fail.😃
I’m going down that path you’ve successfully navigated and really need to at 52 ( not stone) and the reality is that some of us require a huge lifestyle change. I’m hoping I can stay on this and when at my eventual weight, try and maintain it with healthy eating and some regular gentle exercise

England didn't look that convincing in the first half , but this is looking much better 🙂
Agreed, the second half was more sparky but they still don’t seem to be geling. They kick possession away too much and make basic errors. When attacking snd spinning wide they look dangerous - a wins a win snd it we get wales in the quarters then a poor performing England could reach the semis !

Great thread. I’m on a weight loss programme. Lost 2.5kg on our august trip to Thailand and 5kg in the last two weeks here , so today I’m 12.5kg long way to go but aiming for 100kg ( was 120kg) by the end of November.
Long term, my ideal weight should be 90kgs, as I’m big boned 😂😂
this last week I’m on a TDR - total diet replacement which is NHS funded for fat bastards. It’s tough but will be worthwhile - https://www.england.nhs.uk/diabetes/treatment-care/diabetes-remission/- 4

You can get a 30 day SIM from AIS for 899 THB
Doubt you'll go through 50GB of data.
I pay a £10 a month for 20GB of daya in the UK and never go through that,or come anywhere close for that matter.
Seems an odd choice to be dicking around trying to get on Wifi in bars and hotels for a month for the sake of saving £20.
I'll use Bolt a fair bit. Just being able to use a ride hailing app alone would save me over £20 over a month easily
Good advice - if you want one instantly you can get at Swampy.

Lol.... My last Dyson broke within a year.. Never again.
Now I stick with the Thai broom and dust bin.
Just did laundry.
Now.... trying to figure out how to clean the baby oil stain (a lovely lass spilled a half bottle of it a couple weeks ago) and some skid marks off of my couch.
I called an upholstery cleaning company. They quoated me 1,880 baht to clean the couch. I told them to fcuk off.
Now I am in a quandary. What to do ? Oh dear....
Get another wench around to get a second opinion / price 😎

How far ahead do you book your flights?

Been looking to book the wife and son for the month of August 2024 ( I’m staying in England). Best I can get direct is £1157 with Eva or £1145 with Thai.
I think that’s probably the best we are going to get but wondered if folk had any thoughts on that ?
