I doubt it, as we spent a lot of time after 2005 traveling and the family have a big house and farm where we gathered for R&R in Nakhon Sawan where we spent much more time.

Whilst in Hua Hin, my local bar was in Bintabaht opposite the Hilton, but Toby, the English owner was murdered by his wife, (was in the UK press) so I stopped going to the bar and we spent all our time traveling.

    Ouch. Poor Toby

was at the Hilton last month. Great location, nice rooms, pool and brekkie but needs updating. Like Hua Hin a lot

Yes Sort of, lamb Sunday lunch ready meal, then I bought a separate side of cauliflower cheese and stopped at Mc’ds for a few chips on the way home to finish it off 😁

I also, properly roasted their potatoes in oil at high heat which was different to their instructions to make sure they were as crispy as fk

That’s quite a hybrid and imaginative effort. You ought to patent that 😂

Good morning all, I have been a forum user in the past, although not of late, I notice a good few names I recognize here, I didnt know of the forum until I was messaged by Binlid, a good mate of mine. I am off to Pattaya on the 2130 Thai flight tonight, happy day, I have been a visitor for the last 13 years, another flight booked for late April next year.

    Have a safe flight.

  6. I use either Thai or EVA, but mainly EVA for the last 4 years. I'll explain why.

    • Living in Bristol, Heathrow is our best Airport to fly from. We could fly from Bristol to Amsterdam and then connect, but did it once with China Air and it was, to be honest, a friggin nightmare.
    • Heathrow is 2 hours from home, so easy to get to.
    • I like the THAI and EVA Flight times, 9pm ish. This means I can get a half days work done, then leave at 4pm to get to Heathrow.
    • I don't samoke or like a break to stretch my legs, so direct is perfect.
    • I like to arrive in BKK around 3pm as connecting flight to Udon is c5.15
