Ok, good to know all that. When I’m ready, I want to enjoy myself and not penny pinch on ladies or hotels. But it’s comforting to know  we can go to AC and not need to spend $400+ a night to have fun with decent company. Always been a binge drinker, but really lost the taste for it the last few years, so more worried about those double LD, than my own beer prices. My other worry is safety, lets be honest as messed as I’ve been many nights in LOS, the most I’ve been “robbed”was WS disco where I gave the guy 1K for 2 beers, and when he walked away I forgot about my change. But in Phils I know there’s much more petty theft. I always like to carry enough cash for a week of fun, but over there it sounds like it might be safer to pay those damn fees and hit ATM more often, and not risk losing a huge wad

I have never been seriously ripped of in Thailand, left girls in my room and all sorts. But in three trips to the phills in the last year, and i have lost 3600p out of safe, £50 note out of my back pocket in room and my spare phone was stolen from room again. So yes you have to lock thing away in the Philippines.

Yes Lady drinks are always doubles, unless you specify single.

Taxi from Airport takes roughly same time as Genesis bus, If you are a single traveller it is only 400p, and a lot safer if you do have a collision with another vehicle. leaves terminal 3 about every hour.   Plus if you are going to Airport you are covered by insurance if you get stuck in traffic, not so important on a £80 flight!

Give you a perspective on drink. 10 yrs ago we were in a night club in bacalode, SML was 23p at the same time sml in AC in major agogo was 95p.

TBH I get bored shitless looking at a load of fat flippers mooching around on stage. Unless you get there at about 3pm, all the good ones have been taken by the Koreans, who will scoop up 3 or 4 girls for the attention and ego boost.  I tended to go to the perimeter bars, more relaxed, play pool and  socialise with others SML 70p. They are run more like a conventional pub but still have girls on stage  only  2 - 2.5k p BF and 130p or 250p double lady drink. But be aware in all agogo you have cherry girls. These can be girl a who will go for drink but no boom boom, or not go and only have  lady drink in there bar.

Most trikes will cost you about 100p.  But now they have grab and it only 120p always a modern cars with good brakes unlike the non serviced trikes. It's a no brainer in my books .

You will find many free lancers in AC, same as Pattaya easy to get these for 1000 - 1500p. On one occasion a girl wanted 1500 but she wanted her friend to come as well so I said "I take you both for 2k p and they agreed. Happy days!

Another pic.  The BA aircraft was running freight only service and was being pushed back at the time.

I cant think they would buy A350 for frieght and it has windows! Unless it has been reassigned from passengers to freight, but then capacity would be reduced by all the seats negating the fuel saving!. And how would you load it through that small doorway?

    I'm so bored! lol

If you're up front, Emirates are using their newest planes on this route with the new suites.

Etihad have dine on demand too, as do Emirates but only in first.  Rumoured to be coming to Business Class soon.

I'm usually with Emirates and willing to pay a bit more and travel a bit further to the airport to stick with them for now.   I like the price of the Gulf Air flights in Business Class though, but the drawback for me is having to connect at Heathrow.

So do they split the plane in two, new at the front and old at the back. Do they have jet engine on one side and propeller on the other?

I only fly BC now, and flow most airlines. Everyone i have flown with will serve you the meal later, just ask when they take your order.

Emerites, Qatar and Etihad are all about the same, not flown with Emerites for some time now. I like the A380 because on the middle east flights you have a bar on board.

As of late i have flown with Gulf Air, this is my 6th times. Have booked flights for as little as £1003. Not as good as three names above, but about half the price. They now use the 787.

    The 380 is better.

Also flown BC with Turkish Airways, Fin Air, Israel Air and Thai.

Did First class on Etihad in 2015 for one leg on A380. I joined the shower high club!

Have to borrow one or use a fake one.  Maybe if you have the foreigner ID card the number on that could work?

I needed one to let me register on the PEA app and found a site that generated one that would pass checks for being a valid number, even though it wasn't mine.

Even though it allowed me on to pay my electric bill, this offer could be different as a lot of locals' phone numbers are tied to their Thai ID numbers so if that is checked my hooky number will fail as my phone number is tied to my (old) passport.

Use your old passport number, the computer might just recognise the number on the system. Or they may have program it to recognise No on system, only if it is a Thai No.

Lost nothing trying.  Did not work on AIS unless I have to wait until 10th April.

  5. Thanks for the list!

I only knew about 5 on the list, so which are the better ones? I cant try them all!

Do any stand out above the rest?

Im not into heavy porn, just like looking sexy girls!

I think she is a later model the 930bb, built for comfort with twin air bags for a softer ride, but has a firm feel when you bend it over!

Despite being fully aware of the damage i'm doing and have done i can't help meself. I've been smoking continuously since the age of 10yo (only what i could pinch) and i'm now nearly 69yo and should know better. I've always smoked at least a pack a day and when younger i was smoking everything i could put a match to lol, i'm now on circa 25 daily as i'm retired with FA to do other than the things i enjoy and i'm a firm believer in doing ALL the things you enjoy before the grim reaper calls.

I would hate to die not having enjoyed the latter part of my life when all the pressures of life have gone and smoking is one of the things that i REALLY ENJOY bit like wifey really, i really enjoy her too lol.

If i was still living in the UK perhaps the cost would be a motivating factor but here in Thailand i'm paying 60bht for a pack of Camel so no problem there then. I've even had hypnotism in an attempt to pack in but sure enough i was back smoking the following morning after the session (50gbp wasted)

I think i know what the problem is, i don't really want to and until i do i'll never crack it.

Has anyone cracked it and what did you do to ensure success ?

A wooden overcoat is pretty much guaranteed to stop you!  At 25 a day you want to hope your not wearing it to premature.

  8. I don't care anymore, they cant smoke next to me in the pub, so i could not give a monkeys!  I did not read article, But i would think it is logical to ban rolled tobacco because it is MORE dangerous and is widely used by the younger generation because it is affordable. Forcing smokers to buy expensive tailor made would encourage many more to quit. Win win. A friend of mine smoked roll up all his life, He died last yrs at 60.

Menthol gives a false impression of being safer, and again attracts the younger generation, so a logical decision to ban it.

  9. I have just book a BC flight with Etihad 8th Aug to 8th sept for £1304. I had seen them on Sky Scanners for the last 4 days and finally booked on the 3rd June. I looked today (4th June) and they were all withdrawn. Manchester was coming in at £1267

I think I might pass on the stop over!

Yes oil has many uses, but I think transportation would be a volume use and a quick search found this.

In 2017, of the approximately 7.3 billion barrels of total U.S. petroleum consumption,47% was motor gasoline (includes ethanol), 20% was distillate fuel (heating oil and diesel fuel), and 8% was jet fuel.

I am away for the next 4 days, and when i come back I will track them to see if they continue to slide.  I think if they break the 1p barrier, they will slip all the way down to 0.5p a share and this is the time to buy.  On the other hand, if they rise steadily and hit the 1.30p I think then they will continue all the way to 2.0 -2.5p a share.  So at 1.30p, I am in!

How is that for some real good BS, from someone who does not have a clue what he is talking about.

Well they have just broken the 1p barrier, so let see how far they go down and when do i jump in. How far and how quick will they sink from here?

  12. Ukog is down since I tipped but certainly not too late. As in February its a 12 month hold.  They are awaiting arrival of rig currently (literally like now) to drill 4 wells on existing Horse Hill site all approved and funded and over next 1-2 months have an application in for planning for 5 more wells waiting to be considered.
Its a "safe" longer term investment because they are already receiving daily income from the tankers leaving HH from the initial well with estimates of 25 years of production but in the short term expect volatility hence the orginal post of not for widows and ophans
I am tempted but a niggle in back of my mind is the longterm dependence on oil. I see many countries moving to electric car, like China and UK, many more will follow. But as you say 12-24 months and then out at best point between.
