i heartily recommend the cheap balck and decker mowers.  you can adjust the height.  main thing is that in the dry season the grass hould be longer to allow it to hold a little moisture so it doesnt die.  we have a gardening team and I laid them off one week after telling them numerous times to raise the cut level.  they listen now 🙂  when we move tho, will prob NOT have that kind of service, so now pondering thru lazada looking at ride ons.  with beer can holders 🙂

The only mower i would ever buy is a Briggs & Stratton, just brill imo, lasts for years.

  4. So it looks like Man Shitty will win the PL for a consecutive record beating 4 times 😒 I was soooooo hoping Spurs would get at least a draw and give the Arses the chance of the title but Shitty are a class act imo.

I can't see WH doing any damage to Shitty but ya never know.

I believe that there is quite a crossing of lines but thanks anyway. Now I know how to use the strimmer and start it I am OK now. I can only improve with time and practice. Glad the s son got in touch, I gently reminded him a few days ago that my good friend... etc . He does do a pretty good job and for sure if there is anything you are not happy with let me know. He doesn't like it when I get "grumpy".

How do you feel about catching up for a coffee some time? We can travel.

Thanks for your help its appreciated. We will do that, i'll PM you 👍 I've got quite a few jobs that have built up over time as the house is now 17 yo some quite substantial, problem that continually arises is builders are not interested in renovation/refurb only new build.

I like to think i'm a reasonable guy but i like work done to an acceptable standard which is not easy to achieve here in Isaan ime. I like the look of the work that you have had completed so maybe your son/builder and i could both be happy, me getting a good job done and your son/builder earning good dosh, win win.

Our gardener is doing our garden on Thursday this week so i'll get wifey to chat to him again and see if we can make some progress on your requirements. What with the heat do you really want to do yourself ? ok if you can cope with it. In the UK i always maintained my garden and just had specialists come in to treat the lawn a few times a year but here in Thailand its a killer for me.

Perhaps the lighting was bad in the video so the green feathers didn't show up as well.

Rain here yesterday in Minburi, like others have reported, same, temp goes down, feels great..until the humidity jumps again....then it feels miserable again.

Tell me the truth gents, are there times here when you say to yourself "WTF am I doing here"?

For me there are times like that.....can't wait to get back to Calif next month.

A very big NO Mike, we are different lol, i could'nt wait to get outta the shithole UK and its weather, Thailand and its oppressive heat/humidity is something i don't like but can cope with, bring on the Aircon lol

Well..as you all know who live here, it was brutal the last 25 days or so.....our A/C bill for a 2 story home reflects just that...highest bill ever here at her home wifey tells me.

    It's cool....no pun intended.

The last week or so, we here are able to NOT put the A/C on until about 2:00pm or so.....but upstairs at night, it goes on immediately when watching TV in the "woman cave" LOL!

and no doubt like you Mike i could'nt GAF how much my leccy bill is, i can't put a price on my comfort, just pay the bill whatever it is.

Too each their own. Not worth it for me.

Bingo, despite being affordable i will never ever buy a BC seat all the time i've got a hole in my arse lol, i hate flying as a passenger, i get this heady feeling (cabin pressure) which is really uncomfortable and it makes no difference where i'm sitting, i can't sleep despite trying all sorts of remedies.

Paying these prices for BC is just not worth it imo of course but i can quite understand those that do and no doubt benefit from it.

It is about a three month period. Basically March-May. The days can vary in severity. Some days are dog awful. Smoke is typically from crop burning and comes from Lao, Cambo, Burma as well as within Thailand.  It does not really let up until the rains come. The rains have started recently. Then after a while beauty abounds.

But do you have trouble breathing, do you notice the pollution when breathing ?

  12. 2 hours ago, Glasseye said:

I was expecting that. But the fallout isn't rubber, etlectrical, chemical, and Dog knows what other poison.

    and

It isn't all year long, without nealy the number of motor driven vehicles.

Just my English SOH mate, yes i understand the pollution is different and not all year round but nevertheless pollution is pollution and we are ALL better off not being exposed to it, whats it actually like in CM trying to breath the polluted air ? The only time i've been to CM was in December for a 1 week stay and that was back in 2008, so i'm way out of touch.

Those industrial fires they are having in that area lately seem to be almost weekly.

    Horrific stuff.

When I lived there Nov. 2019 - Oct. 2020 I couldn't wait to get out of there.

    Where to mate, CM......
