The original Peppermint was the second venue I visited on my first trip to Pattaya, the FLB being the first.

Do you remember the small bar on the left when you walked in staffed only by girls with big tits?

Why did I only ever b/fine girls with big tits when I was pissed as a fart?

One of life's mysteries like where did my contact lens disappear to when I dropped it this morning?

I once dropped a contact lens in the toilet on a flight to Bangkok. I could see that one but gave it a miss as some inconsiderate bugger had pissed on the floor.

    I digress.

do not be so hard on you. i think you very considerate.

On my last trip out to LOS during this summer I ended Soi half a dozen 😉 around 11pm and I was with a buddy of mine at my usual watering hole just chilling out after a couple of hard nights of partying. I hadn’t caught up with him like this in a while and there was just guy stuff we needed talk about and by the way the bar manager at this place is awesome! Anyway there’s about 6 to 8 girls enjoying drinks with a guy around 55years old from the UK having a good time. The bar manager comes over to me and my buddy and says that guy wants to buy you a drink...now I’m thinking shit he’s had toooooo much to drink and I should tell him he isn’t my type LOL but before I could I get told he has won the lottery back home 🙄

Now, I was also told he had been partying over at hard rock but there was no entourage which the first weird thing...but anyway the millionaire is enjoying himself and I accept a drink. This goes on for about 4 rounds to the point I can’t drink that quick and get wasted...especially when I actually really really wanted to catch up with my mate who turns around and asks a valid question....If you had won the millions would you seriously hang around on the soi just buying random drinks all night? What would you do? Would you turn into a LDOP or a real two week millionaire? 😁

    Thoughts on a postcard...

would buy business class ticket for johnny return to uk before he marry katoey

I'm not sure if there is a thread regarding men's after shave /cologne on here.... I think there is but can't find it for now.

But yesterday I've decided to push the boat out and treat myself for Christmas. Went into Harvey Nichols in Manchester and for the first time in my life I saw the brand "Creed". Hand made by all accounts. Asked for the most popular scent to be applied to a tester and 30 hours later still smells fantastic.

Hope it lasts me for years as the cost of it is stupid really... One time in life I suppose.

Give wifey a present for Christmas, put up the tree in BKK at her house and will do so soon here too. All good. Give my kids money which they are quite happy with.

We will have X-mas dinner here at the house this year and wifey will "knock it out of the park" with her cooking skills.

Personally, I still like X-mas and all the things going on during this time.

    do you adopt. am availabel.

I've always agreed with your posts Alias.

And.... I agree. I've always enjoyed Evil's reviews. Going to be looking back at some of them today searching for an evening dinning spot. Although Eatigo has captured my attention lately following three fantastic 50% off meals in Bangkok.

Can't agree with you on BKK being "world class". For a first time visitor I'd agree on it being fantastic for all the big tourist attractions Grand Palace, Wat Pho etc.

But a "world class" city- no.

Inadequate public transport (the airport rail link is a disgrace), unchecked pollution, rising cost of living and for tourists given the strength of the THB less and less of a bargain. I can pay less or equivalent for meals/drinks in London, get superior food and better service.

I've done BKK to death and find the idea of going to KK or UT, and up to Laos far more interesting, and have enjoyed  this TR accordingly.

Would agree with you on Tawandang on Rama III being great though.  Possibly the only nightlife venue I can think of in BKK that hasn't declined markedly in the past 15 years.

not mean bangkok world class. mean tawandang  rama 3 original club is world class, brew own beer, food very good, shows good.

do not know why horizondave think i talk bad about esan & tawandang there but they very diferent than tawandang bangkok.

Guess being a bit spoiled here in Calif, never any "real winter" here at all in the bay area. Gets a bit cold at night, but daytime temps here are still 75 degrees right now.

I do not miss the year around miserable heat/humidity in Thailand at all.

not like that every place thailand & now in esan may be cooler in morning than calif.

I agree -Miami has let some talented young players go this year. But they picked up some draft picks -they really don't have much to lose by letting some of these players go with this dismal season of theirs I suppose.

yes suprise me miami beat colt. may be still play hard.

    They're funny sometimes.....

Some things recently has made me wonder.....  regarding what is really a friend. Do you nurture each other, try to put them in the best light, back them up, help them out, support them when they are in a jam, talk favorably about them to others ?

    or

Do you put up a false front, friendly and all - while putting them down behind their back, snickering and such when they do something stupid, not really caring about their well being, divulging otherwise discreet conversations with you ?

Not always easy to tell. but over time things filter out and you begin to get a clearer picture.

real frend is some one you can tell truth even when it bad. they may be mad but also thankyou for truth.

if can not do that than think not true frend.

is very close to family when you still support them unconditinal but also tell them when do bad.

You are a complete dick mate, guy is in Isaan, why don't you confine your comments to that which would be more helpful.

The OP has nothing to do with Tawangdaeng in Bangkok and really didn't deserve your detrimental comment about entertainment and food in Isaan being average.

I thought for a minute you were TS in disguise. You also obviously have an issue with being in Isaan

Also your English suddenly got a lot better when getting irritated with my reply. Not the usual unintelligible English you write.

thank you boomer I use google more for you. sea-hawks is now in bangkok. am trying to help him with things in bangkok.

my wife is from khon kaen. i have no issue with esan.

Sorry but it is just your opinion and I think that opinion is bollocks.......what are you on about beer and food not same world, it's probably the same beer......talk to Thais and they will tell you a different story and they will probably not discriminate between venues.

As for a foreigner then you will have favourites but you shouldn't belittle a place that brings in thousands of Thais having a good time. Of course Bangkok is good but when in Khon Kaen or any other town in Thailand these places rock especially for the locals. The OP is also in Isaan not Bangkok so just offer something positive about where the guy is located. You sound like another Isaan hater.

Your comments don't give any reasons other than beer and food which I doubt is a very good reason especially as they probably are the same throughout.  A reason that can offer a decent view might actually help the conversation. I doubt many Thais or foreigners won't go into a Tawandaeng in Khon Kaen because you have decided the Bangkok one is better, just seems a real weird debate you are trying to start.

Every Tawangdaeng is a good place to have a great night, especially for the Thais.

bangkok is only one brew beer. food in ut & kk is average. how is that?

not want debate you. clear you never go tawandang bangkok.
