These are MASSIVELY "IN" now. One of my mates just spent two years restoring one of these to original concours spec, another just bought one already fully restored, she has a garage full of metal including 964 Turbo, 997 Turbo....and she hasn't toiuched them since she got her Mk1 GTI Cab!
Lovely isn't it!

Oh, yes, for sure.
One of my friends just sold his BMW 240iM for £5000 more than he bought it for a year ago.
Another friend sold his R8 V10 for £12000 more than he paid 18 months ago.

Since March 2020, when Covid kicked off, I've driven a grand total of just over 1100 miles.

Was it a bit chilly in that seat? I've found seats next an exit to be cold due to the seals on an exit door are not 100% airtight. That little bit of air escaping the cabin makes the area around the door colder than the rest of the cabin.
That's true. I ward off the chills by drinking Grand Siecle!

I posted some of these awhile back. But I finally got them all in one place. I started collecting these 60 plus years ago. My Grandfather gave me my very first hunting knife and as the years went by I would find them in second hand stores, junk stores, garage sales and antique stores.
My Grandfater was fond of saying that a man should never be caught out in the woods without a good knife at his side. Those were simpler days.
Excellent blades.
My Grandfather just gifted me, 77 years after he won them in battle, some Third Reich SA Daggers and a few Wehrmacht bayonets.

Other aircraft -
DC-10 - Lpud, spacious, rattly af, I was on the last ever DC-10 operated out of the UK.
A380 - BIg, boring. Love the huge upstairs fwd toilets though and the UD mid bar/lounge that some operators have.
777 (all variants) - Hate them.
A340 - Like these, quirky, smooth, spacious, loooonnnnnnnnnngggggggggg. Good for getting mid-flight walks to stretch ones legs.
787 - Love them, it's true, the fresh air and lower cabin alt. pressure really do make a difference. The chromatic windows are shit though.
A350 - Nice, real sense of openness and spaciousness, best Airbus effort.
757 - Loved these, with the RB211's, a real sport plane.
BBJ - I worked for an org. once that bought two of these brand spanking new, based on 737-800 i think. Made Global's, G5/6's, Falcons etc seem tiny.
BAC/Aerospatiale Concorde - Peerless. Perfect.

My last 747 flight was my phone tells me, Tue 20th August, 2019.
Here I am scowling in 1K because my buddy switched us around so he had 1A at checkin when I wasn't paying attention.
We were booked in on a 747 in 1A/K again flying home a few days later but one of the RB211's was NBG, flight cancelled and we were pushed onto a 777 a couple of hours later.
Little did i know that i'd never fly on BA's Queen again.
Lufthansa and Korea both still operate the 747-8 though and I plan to take a flight ASAP.
I was once on BA10, one of the last 747 ops, in 64K. we came into LHR and the weather was HOWLING. We got hit by shear at about 100ft well inside the perimeter and over the 27L threshold, the PIC thought sod this and as I heard the RB's throttle up I thought OH f**k YES as we went up and around on full power at what must have been 250,000lb thrust Vs 450,000lb all up weight. The dolly i'd been chatting with said that it was the most intense go-around she'd experienced in 15 years on the job. I have searched YT ever since but it seems no spotters were there to capture it.

My Dad just lost his hard fought battle with lung cancer at 74. To all the younger BM, just want to say that you can be as compassionate as you want to a mate when they lose someone......but when it actually happens to you, whole different ballgame. Me and the old man had our differences, we both had bad tempers, and would often go months without speaking. He wasn’t an easy guy to get along with, period.
But nobody’s perfect, unless someone has truly done major damage to you, just be thankful that your folks are alive and try to bury the hatchet. He’s only been gone a few hours and I won’t lie, I already have regrets and miss the hell out of him. I’m totally crushed, never cried like this, my mask got soaked.
Rest In Peace Dad 1946-2021The best golf buddy a son could ever have, I wish we would have taken one last trip to Phoenix before he got sick
Very sorry to read of your terrible loss, buddy, my own Dad has a couple of months left now due to Pancreatic Cancer. 😌

The GE engines on the 777-200 don't have a great history either.

3 Seawolf's Deployed

The US and UK are still MASSIVELY ahead of China in SSN submarines. The RN Astute Class boats are of equal capability to the USN Seawolfs.
There is one DELCARED and I belleve one shadow/dark Astute unit with the Queen Elizabeth CSG at the moment.....as well as 2x Type 45 Destroyers, 2x Type 23 Frigates, Destroyers - USS The Sullivans and Dutch HNLMS Eversten, multiple replenishment and refueling ships.
The Queen is carrying 18 F35B's from RAF 617 and USMC VFMA-211 Sqdn's, plus 20+ RN Fleet Air Arm Merlin Mk2's, Mk4's, and Wildcats.
This is the largest and most powerful ever martime carrier deployment of 5th generation strike aircraft.
To be sure, China is paying attention.
