Interestingly, I found the mozzie levels way down during my last 5 months trip.

I escaped without a bite this time using low level Deet.

Maybe due to the much higher temperatures. Who knows!

I should of tried the natural version because it's a lot kinder on the skin if you can get away with it.

Here in the UK we get thousands of swarming gnats, which are like a smaller version of mozzie which readily bite. The natural mix works well to keep them at bay and I always bring some home.

My stash at home, with the good stuff ready to be packed for my next fishing trip where it is extremely hostile.

  3. ive been watching this guys uploads recently mostly the hua hin stuff,im glad he pronounces it wa hin the way thais do and not hooo hin like other clueless vloggers seem to do.

Hes visited ao manao a few times and actually went into some apartments that ive also been curios about,so thats what caught my interest initially, bangkok uploads are also good.

Just wish everytime he goes to buy a coffee or food from street vendors he d stop saying :wow amazing very cheap:,kinda condescending and annoying in a way, especially if like he claims he stayed in hua hin over 20 years ago ,other than that worth a watch.

I don't understand why he doesn't get his travel insurance, that he claims to have, involved? As I understand it, they would organise getting him fit for travel, then get him back to the uk, with a medical chaperone if needed. They would not treat him in Thailand unless he was medically unfit to travel.

    Strange...

You would have thought its compulsory to let them know, specially something serious as this,as it could go down hill quick from what ive read about it,should of been the first thing he did after attending hospital, contacting them....,anyhow hope hes back n the uk now and receiving urgent help, all the best to him.

Long time friends from Scotland worked the ME circuit - Saudi, Abu Dhabi, Oman and finally Dubai and then retired first to Estepona and now Jerez de la Frontera.   They found Estepona being a resort with a large transient population a place difficult to make friends.  Jerez is far better and they seem to be settled having bought a townhouse.  I hope to visit them later this year, though I dread the 16 hour flight from California.

Jerez, thought i knew the name, thats where the chopper landed when we left the boat last month, looks like a nice place, had a great view over the whole town as the heliport was outside.

  7. You know the saying if it's to good to be true it probably is,and I am sceptical, however it's literally a couple o quid,so will see.

From tiktok shop, lots of bargains,it's a shop I've never looked at till now, kinda like the crap yet find on lazada from China, that seems to be where a lot of stuff comes from, least socks from UK.
